I bought this game during Czech & Slovak Games Week to support our local developers and I was pleasantly surprised.

This game is nice little puzzler reminiscent of games like Baba Is You. On top of the puzzles the game features nice little backstory about climbing a corporate ladder with bunch of ironic retro mini-games. For hardcore puzzlers I believe the story can be skipped, although I did not use that feature.

I thought the game was at it's best whenever new mechanic was introduced and wish there were even more mechanics thematic to corporate life and backstabbing. Overall I had good time playing this game.

I was on the fence about recommending this game. The entire time you are the mercy of RNG, but if you can lean into it and accept that restarting run early, if things don't go your way, is vital part of the game, then you start having fun.

Two things to be aware of:
1. The biomes and characters are not very well balanced in my opinion, so you have to figure out for yourself what works. I recommend trying to unlock all the characters as soon as possible.
2. THERE IS NO OPTION TO SAVE! Runs are fairly quick, so it's not a huge deal breaker, but the game does not make it obvious and it's quite a shocker first time you quit the game in a middle and lose all of your progress.

I have bad news, Captain. But, keep it to yourself. I suspect we have an alien incursion situation on board.

Slay the Spire of coffee making

Love this game. Lots of different synergies, build paths, monster types. It even features campaign mode to prevent new players with being overwhelmed by all the options.

Innovative and fun gameplay, but sadly cannot recommend as the creators keep pursuing increasingly aggressive monetization model relying on getting cards randomly instead of you being able to choose which decks you want to play. All this in effort to make you spend real money.

Greed is gonna greed, play Payday 2 instead

Immersive world

This is the kind of game first year CS student makes for a project. Considering the most basic controls, bland textures, no powerups or any other kind of abilities, at my school it would likely only earn the lowest grade too. Unless you are buying this for steam trading cards, I would recommend you to search internet for free web game instead.
