This game is actually pretty good, it's got the potential to be come something greater than it is right now. The Graphics aren't bad for a 4$ game. It has some nice gunplay and physics. Missions are pretty short, but there is some replayability in there.

It actually kind of reminds me of Allied Assault with the Omaha Beach. There were actually times, where I actually got terrified at getting shot at inside the landing craft as the MG-42's rained on us. I nearly got PTSD.

Aaand alsoo...
This game actually does Omaha better than COD WW2, cause it actually lets you play the mission
So instant 10/10 with that.

Just with a few more updates, I can see this game being a pretty solid-WW2 shooter. This game is really just blind fun for passing some time if you don't really feel like playing anything else.

I hate this game, but at the same time I love it.
Truly one of the best horror survival games of this CENTURY.

The atmosphere is just so immersive, the 80's A E S T H E T I C is just so good, soundtrack is superb and goes well with certain areas in the game,

Has a slow start but, hell, it builds up into something very interesting. Every encounter with the perfect organism is nerve wracking, you never feel safe in the space station. Worst-part is everything is real-time. I've had so many times when I'm just reading the logs from the people in the Station thinking that time stops while doing such things, trying to get to know the lore what happened on the station and then just hearing this loud thud coming from behind your ears "DUN DUN DUN DUN". Is the most scariest thing ever in this game, may not sound too scary. But hell is it good enough for me to start screaming in my head "OH F**K!".

Normally, I don't play horror games, but this one is a must-play even for the fans of the franchise.

Basically it's one of those Space Sci-Fi Sandbox Survival kind of games. In this one you build your own Space Station...13...HONK!..with survival mechanics and this one does it pretty well actually. It's got good simplistic graphics and lightning, controls may be a bit confusing at the start but you'll get the hang of it the more you experiment with it i.e inventory management...

I've yet to learn how to do things in this game as I only have 1.0hrs put into this game, but I can already see there is so much potential in this game.

I just realised this review may not be too helpful for anyone reading this since everything I wanted to mention is really just in the description and this is more like a first impression, but what the heck.

IF you like survival and space, then that mixed in together with sort of complex-simple mixed base building, then this is the game for you.

expect some bugs though, since it just got released.

tl:dr - is a persistent ww2 mmo game, based on the Western Front.

Main Review
You have the whole, Western Front in one map. Compared to other ww2 games like Heroes & Generals, sure they have a campaign map that covers the whole western front but this game takes it to another level. Every inch' of ground is actually generated and fought for, what you see is a living world, a persistent world where players can shape the war themselves.

This is the Western Front, so you'll only have the Allies and the Axis, sorry no Comintern..
Axis, being the baddie germans under Hitler's control or the Allies fighting together trying to take down the Hitler's tyrannical expansion over Europe.

In the Allies side of things, you have 3 countries to fight under. You have the tea drinking Commonwealth (I'll be calling the British as the commonwealth), the baguette loving French, and the freedom loving A'murica! Who only come in later stages of campaigns.

on each faction & countries. You have the Navy, Infantry(& armoured, paratroopers, etc.) and Air Force. All players are expected to cooperate and play with teamwork in order to succeed, players can also command individual armies, assigning them on attack/defend/qrf missions. And I also think supplies is player controlled, haven't really looked into that. Any player can choose any branch they wish to play.

However Play-for-Free accounts will only be locked on certain amount of roles on each branch such as Rifleman and SMG(smg is unlocked at level 2 if I remember correctly. If not then you're only locked on Rifleman) and won't be able to progress from Recruit to Private. But that does not matter as that by no means DOES NOT hinder your gameplay experience. So essentially subscriptions are just there if you want to progress through the ranks and play different roles, no any other restrictions are present other than those two reasons.

The wait was worth it, imo.
Think of this game as M&B: Napoleonic Wars Remastered.

The game at this state as of now is kind of clunky, which is expected from a game in Alpha and still in Early Access. The gunplay is pretty good, slow-paced and inaccurate little muskets, I like it. The melee aspect is a bit odd and feels weird, definetly needs some work. Joining servers can be a bit diffcult mostly those with high pop.

The game peformance is pretty good, have experienced minor lags due to my internet, haven't encountered any bugs, may be different for others ofc.

There are a few game modes.

Army Siege - Your basic 1 team defends a castle, fortified positions..etc.. & the other attacks said position until the defenders die out or time ends. You have lives in this game, which is limited to a 100+ for defenders and the attackers unlimited.

Army Assault - One life, both sides attack eachother. Basically last team standing.

Army Battleground - TDM with Reinforcements capped at 100.

And then you have the naval battles.
Coastal Siege.
Naval Battleground.

THE GAME IS FUN, HOWEVER. It may not be fun for those who expect instant action as once REINFORCEMENTS have run out, you're left to watch the game until it ends on time or through one side being absolutely crushed. And gunplay is pretty slow, WHICH is expected from a game based on Napoleonic Era and melee might put players off. MELEE IS ALSO DIRECTIONAL MEANING IT USES MOUSE TO DO SWINGS AND STABS

Basically. for those who can't be asked to read. Just gonna give a straight forward pros and cons.

Pro's imo (GOOD):
Graphics.
Napoleonic Era.
Is like M&B:NW but remastered and standalone.
Voice Acting.
VOIP. (Unless trolls screw around with it)
Musket gunplay.
Nice map design.
Music.
Peformance. (May be different for others)

Con's imo (BAD):
Melee.
Game lacks of maps.
Only a few factions.
No Cavalry. Yet.

No wonder this game has "Overwhelmingly Positive" and almost 9/10 - 10/10 stars.

It's a heckin' good game and definetly worth every penny, if you like a good game with a good story and not looking for some generic first person shooter or something.

Cried a little bit through some backstories and what not.

They push.
We push.
Every once in a while, we push hard enough that the light breaks through the clouds, and the world beyond the war glimmers.
- Battlefield 1 Quote

Been playing Foxhole for a while on Able 3 Server, in the span of two days right now. And holy hell this game can get you playing for hours. The battles are hectic, one point you're pushing the enemy back into it's last objective, then for some reason you see yourself stuck in your lines and the enemy in theirs with no-mans-land in between the two lines here all hell takes place.

You've got people doing logistics, engineering, in-direct artillery firing, setting up fortifications & defenses and sending soldiers to the front.

Then you've got the people taking up the role as a Medic saving people's lives on the battlefield, Engineers who do the frontline fortifications such as Sandbags for the Frontline Soldiers who do all the heavy lifting, taking the fight to the enemy.

There's also some roleplaying that occurs in the friendly lines and on the frontline, so that's nice. I've seen some wounded people screaming and others throwing insults at eachother as they kill eachother in brutal ways. War is hell.

It may be like confusing at the start on how to get started, like gathering your weapons and such. But you'll find a lot of people who will gladly take their time to help you and get yourself equipped for the frontlines.

There are some people who are toxic, well, people who flame I guess you could say, like literally nearly witnessed a massive arguement going on in my own faction (The Wardens, the only just faction in the game *Cough* totally not biased), which happened due to an arguement between Infantrymen and Tankers who the Infantry claimed the Tankers not giving support on their push on the enemy HQ. It was pretty cool though, kinda captured the feels that during in war there is always something that's causing problems for an army to succede in battle.

I have yet to see people going around griefing things, WHICH is a good thing.

BTW THIS GAME SOLELY RELIES ON COOPERATIOM AND TEAMWORK.

Also for an Alpha game, it's pretty good. There are some bugs like voice chat kind of glitching out when you're kind of distanced away from them, the bugs aren't very game-breaking btw.

The only one I've noticed is when you hold like medical supplies as a Medic, you may get stuck for some reason and the voice chat kind of glitching out SOMETIMES when you're not that close to people and your weapon not loading for some reason, Fix for that one is just un-equip and re-equip.

Probably the best Persistent World WW1-2 Inspired Game out there.

Not a bad game, I like this one as much as I liked the first one.
Probably one of my favourite games on Steam, despite it being so short lol.

The only problem I have is that you can't go back to choose what you want to say, which kind of annoys me, but other than that.

The game's got a pretty good story with different ways how your "relationship" ends with either Emily or Evelyn.

Games' worth five dollars.
