Certainly different from the previous games, especially with included voice acting. With this one, you don't need to even complete the game to get all achievements (but I did it anyway). Can be beaten with all achievements in less than 20 minutes.

I can tell you right now you can't speedrun this game. There's an achievement that requires you to play for 2 hours which means you cannot refund if you try going for 100%. Artwork could be better but the scenes are pretty solid. 5/10

So before I say anything, I want to say that this game is worth the price. Although it can be beaten in under 2 hours, I actually just enjoyed playing the game all together. From a rhythm gamer perspective, I thought this would be an easy "follow the beat and just place the blocks down" but each character you face against has their own unique style which is what makes the rhythm aspect of it challenging. I love the designs of the characters and the songs are really enjoyable! Even though they're two different games, Witch's Rhythm Puzzle gives me a lot of Touhou vibes with how characters interact with each other and the reason for going against them. My only issue would be the controls as you can sometimes seem like you're on beat, but you end up hitting too early and it throws everything off (which seems like why they added a delay feature to the game and it's really helpful!)

Overall rating: 9.5/10

TL;DR (I'm not the best at writing thorough reviews)

Okay. I must say this was actually enjoyable. If you want to speedrun this game, that is easily doable if you skip the story (and if you're a fast reader). As I was gifted this game by a friend for Christmas, I gave tried out the full game.

Story of the Game
The unnamed nine-tailed fox was sealed a hundred years ago inside of a stone. After a hundred years, the seal begins to break which releases the yokai. You, a perverted introvert, learn about this info and moments after you get a visit from some saleswoman who says she can grant you any wish in return for an offering. After giving her tea and revealing your wish, the saleswoman transforms into the nine-tailed fox and says that a pact has been created. Your wish, to be popular among girls, is translated to lessons Kon creates for you to learn that will make you better among girls while also siphoning off your energy to keep her alive. While power is siphoned, the curse of the nine-tailed also slowly consumes your personality and begins changing the way you act. You, a perverted introvert, end up taking advantage of this curse to have sex with the kitsune as she lives with you and teaches you how to be a better person.

My Opinion on the Story
You as the MC is an insufferable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ at the beginning of the game. The game blames his actions on the curse of the nine-tailed fox but the dude would have been considered a rapist if Kon refused his actions at the beginning. I must say, however, the MC redeems himself about more than halfway into the game by actually as a person thanks to living with Kon and the lessons she gives the MC.

The Gameplay
Honestly, the least fun aspect of this game. You can definitely tell not much work went into these minigames and usually I don't have an issue since the aspect is more for the porn and story. But the quality of this game is good enough that I feel like the minigames could have been at least a bit better. They're definitely tedious, however it's not like you have to grind the minigames (my recommendation is to complete each game a total of 6 times) and they're really simple to play. I feel like for the quality of the game, these minigames could have been drastically improved to look better and be mechanically smoother for a better time.

Kon and the Art
If I'm gonna be honest, the art is pretty inconsistent sometimes. I believe they are made by different people on the team, but some aspects of the art just look different while playing. There's nothing wrong with that, it just feels inconsistent is all. The sex scenes are decently well animated. Not much to really say on those parts other than it is exactly what you'd expect. My most favorite part of all, however, is Kon and her outfits. There are over several unique outfits Kon has and each style fits the way she looks very well. Each outfit also has a few unique lines you can go through and select your favorite one to show on the main screen. The l2d is done pretty well as her body moves with her expressions pretty well. Her voice lines are also synced up (for the most part) with her mouth which makes her character even more enjoyable to be around.

The Price
For a $10 I wouldn't really recommend buying. If this game ever gets discounted to about $5 then I'd say it's worth buying. You're paying for the original story, original scenes, and Kon. The minigames kinda suck and honestly I feel like that drastically reduces the price as well. The price does support the developers for their hard work but I just don't see this price being worth the amount of content I would have paid for.

Verdict:
I genuinely enjoyed playing the game. Getting past the beginning of the story, I did end up liking where it was going. At the end, I'd argue that technically the MC's wish was never fully granted but I guess that just means the pact still keeps on going and the MC strives to be a better person? The art is great, even if it wasn't too consistent, the animation styles of the different scenes and the l2d aspect of Kon and her outfits was delightful to see. I'd argue the price is too high for a game like this and could be reduced and should be bought when the price is lowered. If you're here mainly for the sex scenes then the $10 isn't really worth the buy. Since I got this game as a gift, I gave the entire game a try and it was an enjoyable experience with Kon. 8/10

TL;DR
Note: This is a review based on my playing experience that is less than 2 hours of gameplay (making it to the fourth level of Hell) and not fully getting to experience other parts of the game. I compare this to Hi-Fi Rush in this review. I also do not make full on reviews of games.

As a rhythm gamer, I have quite a few issues with the way the game plays out. A rhythm game that essentially plays out like the DOOM series is definitely a brand new combination I have never seen before. I love the music and the third person story being told about the Unknown, however my issue lies within the rhythm mechanics.

The functions of the skull to keep the rhythm combo going is a great way to stay on beat, however it comes down to switching weapons and getting hit (most likely just a skill issue on my end lmao). There's a lot of parts while playing that can make you feel so off put and lose the rhythm. Some weapons skip a beat and during all of the action going on around you, it's easy to miss such beats as the reload (again, most likely just a skill issue).

Another issue is how the dash does not feel all that great to use. It doesn't feel like you can use it as a great way to get around the map fast and feels very clunky to use, especially in the middle of combat.

A great comparison I can make to Metal: Hellsinger is the game Hi-Fi Rush, another hack and slash game. Every single move you make always matches to the rhythm and the combinations of inputs creates new and exciting attacks. The attacks each enemy makes and the entire level itself is synced to the music playing. There is even a combination of inputs that allow you to dash even faster while still staying on rhythm.

Overall, I enjoy the graphics, music, and overall uniqueness this game has created, but the rhythm gameplay is just not my style and feels weirdly off putting and clunky. 6/10

I want for everyone who buys this game to know that this entire series just has an auto solve button and you will get all the achievements regardless if you use them or not. Easily speedrunnable with or without the auto solve button and artwork is really good in all three games. 10/10 for all three games.
