captures the bleak joyless misery of catholicism through its theme, design, and gameplay

Between the sparse and mostly useless checkpoints, damage-soak enemies, and level design which has plenty of blind hazards, it's obvious this is one of those games where you're supposed to enjoy it for the "accomplishment" instead of it being fun.

Combat is bad, movement is bad, the game constantly reminds me of Zelda 2 with how boring, same-y, and grindy the combat is. Art and sound direction are good. The game is just not fun, or even fun-adjacent.

I'd recommend this to anyone that has nothing going for their life and needs the illusion of accomplishment that this game presents through the facade of difficulty provided through bad design decisions.

great game

Filled with angry children/man-children for whom CSGO is the single most important thing in their life. If that's you, then this is the thing for you. Other than that, the servers are good and the client is probably not anything to worry about after they settled with the state of New Jersey after the bitcoin-miner thing.
