This is game is amazing. The art is stellar, the gameplay can be fast frantic action, but also cold, calculated puzzle solving. OH AND THE MUSIC, THE MUSIC IS SOOOO GOOOD! A must play.

Emily is Away is a beautiful game about a character that you play, but not necessarily have full control over, and a girl named Emily. At its heart the game is about change, as you go year by year, chapter by chapter, you see Emily holding on to the the past, whilst she talks about everyone else changing. Although this game is extremely short, with only about 30 minutes of real gameplay and not much replayabilty, it is sweet, thought-provoking and emotional. Combine this with, what I like to call, the fake typing mechanic, it becomes an interactive experience. The only improvement I could ask for is for your choices to have more of an impact on the ending, but that is one short-coming that can be completely ignored. All in all, this is a short, sweet and powerful game, that definitely has become a must play.

Better than COD.
