Early Access Review
This is exactly how I had hoped the revival of Tokyo Highway Challenge should be. It's a throwback to roaming the Tokyo expressways at night on my Dreamcast with Tokyo Highway Challenge 2. Something I still do, but now Genki has made a very polished early access successor that I now can enjoy at smooth 60 FPS on my Steam Deck.

This is a complete single player focused experience, just like the original TXR series and Genki completely hits it spot on, but with many more features that only improves on the formula of their racing "fight" game.

I can only recommend this game. Not only for its great gameplay and nice graphics, but also for how polished and much content it packs on day one of early access. It's going to be exciting to see what's coming in the future.

Now back to the expressway to duel rivals, bosses and wanderes just like myself.

Very fun game and it works great on the Steam Deck and Linux now after they fixed the controller issues.

They removed official Linux support, so now I can only wait before the game stops working natively. The game also wasn't the best to begin with,. Very cheesy, I know it's the premise of the game, but after the beginning quickly loses some of the charm. Also you have to rip papers in pieces. They make it seem as if you have a choice.

About Linux support it is clear that these developers are amateurs as every person coming from a software background would without problems be able to keep supporting a platform it is already made for in the beginning. Lost all good will from me.

Edit: Thanks for clarification. I got a bit carried away and hopefully it will change my mind.

Does this auction benefit my business: No
Does it benefit my competitor's business: Yes
Should I bid on it, so that he wont win the benefit? Absolutely!

This game is very simple on the surface, but then you start to discover that the markets are not just dumpholes for all your goods to earn money. You realize that the prices change depending on the availability of your goods. So how do you increase the price? You artificially keep a low availability, so that you can increase your margins on your goods. But then if your are not careful, a competitor might see an opportunity to sell the same goods at a lower price. In that case the sane CEO might sell his goods at a competitive price to compete - OR - the just as sane CEO might ruin trafic flow and re-route his region's roads, so that it becomes too expensive for the competitor to transport his goods to your market. Problem solved.
