You can still say that you don't like the game because of this core gameplay mechanic, of course, but for me it works extremely well and I can only hope this is exactly what they meant when they developed it.
Of course I'm playing now and not at launch, maybe that changes everything.
Since that we've also rebalanced the medal requirements a bit. Thinking back, they were clearly too high on launch. (This is a problem we seem to be making on each game.. Most of our games have been too hard on launch. Probably simply because we've played them so much at that point so anything feels too easy.)
"Not the recommended option" speaks volumes about your design philosophy, though.
