Story is wonderful, graphics aren't too terrible, combat is fine. The crafting is decent, however at times kind of bottlenecked in certain situations (think Chapter 3 where you suddenly have to cough up 2k Orens for the best armour in the game).
All in all, what kills the game for me is the bugs. Good heavens, THE BUGS. It's infested, the amount of crashes, freezes, etc. I've had is through the roof. It's such a shame because it's a nice game all in all but the bugs really make it TERRIBLY frustrating to play at times. Couple that with a rather bad auto-save system, and imagine getting a crash after just having cleared out an entire tomb. Half an hour of work gone, poof.
It's things like that which really made crunching through this game an arduous challenge.

The game is still in early access, one should always keep this in mind when playing the game and encounters any bugs. HOWEVER. This does not account for the slow development time. It has been in Early Access for far too long, I find.
But, I have still had an incredible amount of fun with the game. 330 hours in, and still, I continue to get an adrenaline rush from being shot at, being in a tight situation, etc.
The game is definitely worth its money, but one has to have patience. It works, but it has some persistent bugs. One can count on the developers to fix them, in due time.
All in all, I recommend DayZ, but I also stress that patience is a virtue.

Great game, great capabilities, great added contents with mods. A must have for everyone.

Quite a nice game, it's great to just play on the odd day. Great to keep you busy, and make you angry too.
