Firewatch is, at its core, a walking simulator. It's a very good one with well written dialog, an interesting storyline and nice pacing - wrapped up with a stunning aesthetic, but if you're looking for something with a lot of gameplay depth - you won't find it here.

If you're looking for a more muted experience, however, Firewatch will likely be right up your alley.

Alien: Isolation is the Alien franchise done right. Creative Assembly nail everything, providing an atmospheric experience harbouring tension to rival that of the original film. In this rendition, the single Xenomorph is fast, terrifying and lethal, and remains that way for the games entire 15-20 hour runtime.

Recommended.

An unfortunate butchering of the Aliens franchise that has little to offer. With deceptive marketing, a story that breaks existing lore and gameplay that is functional at best - A:CM fails to provide interesting (or even canonical) new story content for existing fans of the franchise, or gameplay content of substance for those who are not.

A dark, beautiful game with much to say about mortality and the human condition hampered only by an insistence on unnecessary monster-hunt horror gameplay. To say any more would spoil it, highly recommended.

Despite occasionally cringeworthy dialogue, Life is Strange ends up being a gripping and surpisingly poignant choice-and-consequence game where it feels like your choices actually matter. Amongst my favourite games of 2015, Life is Strange comes highly recommended.

Absolutely solid - both mechanically and technically. Worth a buy!
