Not good, not bad.

An entirely adequate product wherein lies the problem, there's nothing redeeming about what the class offers.
More of the same in a different shade, much like the recoloured cashshop items.

Went in without expectations and somehow still ended up disappointed. Congratulations.

After doing a framebreakdown, i'm having a mental breakdown.

Thanks for packaging last gen graphics in a next gen engine while disregarding 20 years of "how to build your pipeline".

Ultimately a Demo/Alpha, effectively everything wrong with Unreal Engine 5 and Checkbox Development.

I don't find myself getting irritated over games in general, especially when it comes to story type games of worlds that i find entertaining and would like to know more about.

Atleast that has been the norm for now, i like the story of GFL universe in general and bought this game in good faith.

It is a well made product that unfortunately isn't a tactical game, but a repetition of find the 1 way the mission can be solved.

There is 1 way to solve it, everything meticulously put together to allow almost absolutely nothing but that while using everything in your arsenal. While being hopelessly outmatched, outgunned and in the case of challenge difficulty also artificially debuffed so that if you fight something it survives most things with SINGLE DIGIT HP.

It has very little to do with the traditional or rather any type of strategy, it is a pure stealth game and every mission that's not stealth is pure torture on Challenge mode. Everything wants you dead, everything has more accuracy than you, your guns are worse than those of hostile units, you have less range, you cannot get in position and fire while the opponent can shoot you 3 times while moving twice as much.

I've played very many games in my time and generally speaking i find difficult things fun and strategic squad games entertaining.

There is however a very big difference between something that's difficult by providing players with different approaches and actual choices or finding the 1 sequence that works by design.

It really is a shame that it's just nothing else than a boringbin simulation that derives you of any individual interaction with the content. There's no skill required, you solve it once and then there's nothing left to improve because the answer will remain the same.

Just an utter disappointment.

Turns out you can make a gorgeous looking, largescale, semi open world game in UE5 that doesn't stutter itself into oblivion nor requires 200GB disk space to accommodate uncompressed Texture Files.

Who could've guessed that it would be sum 30 people that worked at Ubisoft of all places to put the industry to shame, seems like it's not a lack of talent at these places and that people that don't hate video games can actually make good games.

Who could have guessed.

A highly addictive Slotmachine masquerading as a game & an equally compelling Cashshop for it's audience.

Never have i seen a better example portraying the issue plagueing societys older, jaded, addicted & commodified generation that throws their last pennys into the Slot's to get some feeling of accomplishment.

ARPG's are essentially that, a quick, noncommittal number go up, low effort, fast gratification experience.

This game gets you hooked with a pretty decent start, a good experience to begin with, nice artstyle, great visuals and impressive sub 1s loadingtimes on fairly modern SSD's.

The entire package is presented in a positive light, you get going, make progress, clear content get some freebies that show you what could be and then you hit the wall. Nothing to do with skill or understanding, just a pure numbers game. % Increases % multipliers + flat added, quanitity+quality + repetition where it's less about player input rather than outright outscaling the infinite grind into obscene numbers that this games endgame is.

Blinking lights, Pachinko sounds, cute characters with nice voices to listen to and just a very fitting almost Infinite amount of improvements to your builds.

It is a phone game but it's not a bad game for that sake, it is a bad "game" because it sings a lullaby to you while making you forget time, makes player input less irrelevant as time goes on and keeps people playing for the same reason the elderly wash all their money down the toilet at the nearest NovoLine.

Play a game that respects your time, your skill as a player, with proper UI and doesn't attempt at every single interaction to squeeze any amount of money out of you.

% increased quantity should not be something locked behind a paywall, albeit an arbitrary one due to free ones being "relatively" competetive.

From a mathematical point of view, there is no winning for you here.

You will have a good time, you will spend alot of time if you get into the rhythm and find these things fun.

But is that a sign of a good game or is it because we as people are all addicted to one thing or another?

Who could've guessed that the people most known for their sidescroller MMO would come out with an actual good 3rd person hack'n'slash.
Fun gameplay, well optimised, some great and some absolute boringbin bosses.

An immersive World with vast maps, nice scenery, well placed checkpoints and overall interactive experience.

That being said, i'm bummed that the people behind Dungeon Fighter Online didn't put endgame dungeons into this game.

And please fix the broken The first Berserker achievement when you read the diary.

Underrated & Overhated

If you like Nioh 2, buy this. Doesn't matter if it runs poorly everything about the gameplay is an upgrade.

After finishing a playthrough with 100% completion on all maps and being quite adept at actiongames i feel like i should write a review of this absolute insanity of a game.

The combat is so absolutely insane allowing for fluid chaining and enemy manipulation like no Team Ninja game before. The Story and world is influenced by your choices and you have multiple choices on how to approach everything in the game. Nothing about this game is 1 dimensional.
Other than your framerate if you attempt to play this game on anything subpar.

It is no secret that this game eats poorly put together configuration for breakfast, which is. what it is.
I don't have issues running this game and running somewhat poorly in this year in particular is nothing new and doesn't make this a bad game.

The game is great, i had a good time. If you're bad at these games you're getting nowhere just as it should be.

Imagine putting your all into the project you love & put countless hours in only for it to get removed from storefronts from no fault of your own.

The Dev(s)? behind this game really deserves credit, didn't get discouraged pushed through and re-released the game while providing people that bought it initially with Keys.

Thank you for being a genuine individual in this fake world.

It's a solid game that does what it promises, it's relatively lightweight on hardware and just from this simple act of decency if the individual behind the game ever decides to release something new i'll be more than happy to support it.

Lets face it people 12€ or whatever it is in your currency doesn't amount to anything these days so just use your Fiat Currency on projects that don't screw their users into into oblivion.

Early Access Review
It is with great pleasure that i'd like to inform you that with your help we can turn the ARPG Jesus bald, yes gentlemen BaldkaizerX could become a reality, thousands have done their part including me and i ask you to do the same. For it is a thing you simply can't put a pricetag on.

Ah yes, game is pretty okay too.

Welcome to Development Hell.

It's no secret to anyone that's heard of this title that it failed and when you give it a chance you get a taste for yourself as to why.

The first thing everyone notices is that this game runs like an absolute slog regardless of hardware, and this is very easy to track back to the Quad Allocation this game uses for almost all it's Meshes and VFX.
Instead of the proper techniques refined for over 30 years Airship Syndicate in their wisdom decided to bloat your 2M Pixel limit on 1080p with 1x1 to 8x8 resulting in your GPU rendering full triangles only to throw 40-80% of it away in the output.

This could've been camouflaged properly with LoD and Viewcone manipulation but as it turns out the only redeeming quality of the game is also the reason why it's a bad product. Duality in motion.

It's not like there is heaps of documentation on the Logical Pipeline and sufficient resources on Unreal Engine itself to not have these issues.

How this was ever conceived to be a playable MMORPG when the Singleplayer state is atrocious is beyond me.
The loadingscreens and forced route to complete this game is, Dialogue A in Zone A-> Move to Zone X-> Dialogue B in Zone X->Move Back to Zone A -> Enter Expedition-> Dialogue -> Bossfight

This pattern repeats itself throughout the whole game and will have you load for every instance you enter which doesn't feel very good nor responsive.

Charactertrees are Basic, increasing characterpower nothing more than stacking flat added into increased and multiplicative %.
Uninspired Bossfights with repetetive mechanics, boring mutators and lackluster loottables across the board.
Empty Sanitized poorly performing open world maps considering that the game has the visual aesthetics of a 12year old game.

And to top it all off, the endgame is running the exact same bosses with almost the exact same mechanics with the difference being their hp pool and dmg output.
Mutators which could've been cool are nothing more than permanent degen on the floor, aoe's that track, increased damage, or less dmg taken.

This game as a product, is the single worst i've ever had the displeasure of playing.
It is poorly designed, is boring to play and deserves to be a memento mori to the Studio.
