As many other people have pointed out, there are a lot of bugs at this stage of the game. This is to be expected, the game is really huge in scope and there's bound to be bugs in release. Software is never finished, only released. This is not a huge issue for me as I'm writing this review 2 days after release -- they'll iron out most of the bugs I encountered in my playthrough.

I didn't have any major performance issues while playing, with a Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2060 super. I had RTX enabled and the game looked drop-dead gorgeous. They definitely nailed the visual aspect of the game. The city, the characters and the overall atmoshpere looks amazing, and it's obvious they wanted the game to look as edgy as possible, which is a good thing for a cyberpunk game. They definitely nailed this part of the game.

I was not really able to experience much of the audio of the game because of my setup, but the only concern I had with audio was due to bugs, again, something that will probably be fixed later on.

At first, I did not really care about the characters and story, maybe because I wasn't attentive, but I also played the Witcher 3, a game by the same developers, and a game that I think had a much more engaging story than this game. This may be because they wanted this game to be more open ended, as it was (more on this later) supposed to be an RPG. And to be fair, I did start liking the story after a while, although still not really stoked about it. I only managed to get one ending as of writing this, and I'll be playing a bit more to get the other ones as well.

I do have a gripe with starting paths though. They don't influence much of anything in the story -- it's just there to say something different depending on your path; it doesn't really add anything.

Up to this point, everything I've talked about are minor flaws in my opinion. Bugs are to be expected, and I did not purchase the game for its story, but rather for the replayability and the customizability of the game; I've been dreaming of different character builds and cool outfits and custom cars and random events I'd participate in, and this is the main reason why I don't recommend anyone buy the game at its current stage. None of the things I mentioned are in the game. Sure you can buy clothing, and sure you can spec into skills and make different builds, but it becomes painstakingly obvious that these are lacking a lot -- there are not nearly as much customizability that we were lead to believe there were. You can't even preview clothes when buying to see how they look on you. You can't customize cars, and given enough specs into strength, you don't even need to buy most of the cars, as you can just steal one from the streets. Almost none of the cool, edgy things that were in the Night City Wire trailers actually accessible to you, even though some of it is in the game. I wanted my character to look like those mox guards, and clearly, as they are in the game, the game assets are in the game, but as there is no way to modify your character once you've started the game (in terms of appearance, separate from clothing), you got no choice.

This issue would have been kind of passable had there been a good character customization screen, so that you would be satisfied to continue with what you got. But not even that is possible. The character creation screen is lackluster -- it does not have nearly enough of the complexity of a good character screen, for example, something like what the Sims has. No sliders, no body build modification, none of that cool half skin half metal body parts. You only have a couple of piercings and some hairstyles. How can any of these features be missing from an RPG?

Well, the thing is, Cyberpunk 2077 is not an RPG. At least, the description box never mentions it is an RPG. Instead, it says that it is an "action-adventure story". They slowly shifted from an RPG to an action adventure, and removed a lot of features in the meantime. But this is most definitely not the fault of the developers, the designers, or people who worked on the game. It's got more to do with the people related to the business side of things. They already delayed the game 3 times already, to rush the game development to fit the deadline. They had their developers crunch for the game for almost (at least counting the delays -- they were probably crunching for a whole lot more) a year. Most of the stuff that they showed in their trailers and gameplay demos are either gone, misleading or downright untrue, because they probably didn't have enough time to add into the game. It's easy to act as if you're a progressive company and pander to audiences, mistreating your employees and pushing out content unfinished just for money is just downright low. Maybe CDPR could learn from their game and not be like the corporations they depict, but by that argument, I guess that would make a rockerboy for saying this stuff.

I'm not sure how to format the review, so I'll add any other miscellaneous problems into this paragraph. Please note that these are not game-breaking by any means, it's just that these are minor inconveniences that bugged me a bit while playing. I'll make sure to get back to add more as I remember them.
  • Stealth is not that fun. You don't have a chance with silenced weapons, as you can't oneshot almost anyone while sneaking around without spec'ing into a lot of stats, which is not worth the effort as you can just approach someone and do a takedown, which is very limited and gets boring very quick, as there are 2 animations for takedowns, and you can't takedown anyone with melee weapons, which would have been really cool. Furthermore, the double-tap dash mechanics screws your run up sometimes.
  • The vehicles are too responsive sometimes. It's as if they've never ridden a vehicle before. It's as if the vehicles were moving on ice or something.
  • The one hacking minigame is fun, but it would have been nice to see some variety. You can only create hex strings for so long.

TL;DR: The game has many bugs and missing features in its current state. It lacks a lot of promised features, most probably because of crunch and trying to fit the release into a deadline. I am a fan of CDPR, and I do like the game -- or at least what they meant it to be, but this sort of actions are not the way to go. Fix your game and treat your devs right.

You're pretty good.

I mean, why are you looking at a review written in 2019 for a game that was released in 2015? Don't you have anything better to do?

This game is really fun. I've always played it with a friend, so I have yet to try it by myself, but I do plan to do a solo run of the game. It's that good.

Some things worth mentioning are that the graphics are really good. I do not have a high end machine, so I usually lower the graphics when playing, and even though I played with around medium graphics settings, I still enjoyed the visual quality and art style of the game. The difference in graphics quality is not that much, and the game does look really good.

In terms of story, the game is great, although it differs from other RPGs in the sense that quest tracking is a bit different -- you do have quest markers, but most of the time you need to scour your journal to make sense of what you're doing in a quest. It did take a bit to get used to since I mostly played games like Skyrim where the objective is listed really clearly and is marked constantly with indicators. To its credit, that type of quest indicator would have ruined this game, since constantly needing to read what I'm supposed to do and what I have done has immersed me in the game that much more.
The pre-made characters are all pretty fun to play and have fun story arcs. There are some mini dialogues here and there that are a bit meaningless -- in the sense that nothing is gained with those dialogues being there -- but it helps the immersion and allows for players to create a unique RPG experience.

The combat is amazing. It is definitely fun, and the fact that the game doesn't force your characters to adhere to specific class rules is pretty dope. I played Lohse on my first game with focus on physical damage and necromancy & polymorph, and to say the least, I had a lot of fun. We would sometimes devise tactics and act strategically in order to win fights, and other times would just hit people in plain sight to see what would happen. There is a lot of diverse skills that both look cool and feel cool, and the fact that you can mix & match gives you the ability to literally build a badass.

To conclude, the game is pretty good. I didn't write that many negative things about the game, but that's because I'm writing from memory and I don't really remember the bad things that happened during my playthrough. If you have the money and/or the time to play this game, I definitely suggest you give it a shot. You definitely will have fun.

not considering almost all of the dlc content, its an insanely good game. you have no reason to not play the game since it is dirt cheap when in sale.

It's a direct MOBILE PORT. You're better of playing:

* Adventure Quest
* Adventure Quest Worlds
* Dragon Fable (Personal Favourite of mine)
* Mechquest

Rather than this stupid excuse of a game.
Don't even bother downloading. I mean, it lacks any ease of use the other games had. It's absolutely stupid.

[THIS IS MY OPINION AS SOMEONE WHO HASN'T PLAYED MUCH IN THIS GAME GENRE]
(Sorry for bad english :/ )

First of all, this game be improved upon, because i think this game has a lot of missing features that needs to be fixed to make gameplay, more playable. But, the game has great potential and I hope these issues will be fixed. When they have been, I know this game will be great.

I currently have given the game a bad review but also given it a positive-mark. That is because I don't want people to think this is a bad game like those "Early-Access, will fix it after ppl buy" cashgrab-like games. This game is GOOD. When other people write reviews for this game aswell, i will be changing the review mark to negative again, until the developer fixes some of these issues and makes the game more playable, which, then I will be giving this game a positive review and I will be removing this negative review.

The game is nice, it is really a change from them FPS shooters, and the 8-bit graphics is awesome. It plays out nice, and some basic features are added, like zooming, increasing play speed, pausing etc. It's thought out well, but even these features have some parts missing. Increasing speed only has one setting, and that is 3 times faster than usual. This feature bugs out sometimes and no difference in speed occurs.
The movement in the game is nice. That is, you play as the captain of your crew and you move around engaging with certain stuff. But, that feature bugs out aswell. Sometimes while moving, your character will just stop moving and glitch out in a certain building. When you try to move him to another direction, he will only move 1 STEP AT A TIME. This needs to be fixed too.
Building stuff is really hard. When you want to build a building, you only get the name of your building, and the cost. There is no information about what it does, and how much resource it will cost (like workers who need gold). Your only chance is the name it has, and that isn't that helpful either. When you can't build on a certain spot, your builder guy will find the best spot for this build. If there is nowhere available for it, the build will be cancelled. Rather than cancelling, I suggest that your builder guy would scope out the entire island you are in, and look if certain structures are built on the grounds that have the requirements of your wanted build. This would be much more helpful than cancelling the build right away, at least he should ask.
Combat. Combat is really difficult to accomplish. When somebody is engaged, the game creates blood sprites on the ground. This would be much trouble normally, but these blood sprites cover EVERYWHERE. While fighting, I couldn't see my character, or the enemy. This needs to be removed, or the blood should be reduced, or defense in this game would be so difficult. I haven't done much combat, but I can assure you that it is too difficult right now.
Overall, the cost of building structures, and the working cost of pirates are way too high for starting off. It isn't impossible, but while grinding those resources, I got constantly attacked and I had to destroy some structures to build the new one I wanted. I kept losing my men. This can be balanced by reducing the overall cost of buildings, or giving players more resources when they start. Or being able to dismantle and loot ships of people who attacked you might also be a good idea.
Also, there is no tutorial. None. You get a random text popup at the start of the game, and nothing else. Nothing is explained. You're expected to know everything off the start. I saw the game and immediately wanted to play, so I bought it, installed it, and booted it up. When I got into a game, I wasn't asked If I wanted a tutorial.
The settings menu also needs a lot of explanation. A LOT.

To sum up, this game requires you to be experienced with this type of game. It is incomplete, and needs to be fixed. The fighting mechanic is bad, the building system requires much more than point and build. There is very limited resources, considering you spawn randomly on some islands which are so small, you can only fit like 3-4 buildings before you run out of space, which you need a LOT MORE. Nothing is explained in the game, which is essential in a game like this.

If you need a tl;dr, this is it here.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AT THIS STATE. IT IS INCOMPLETE, AND NEEDS MUCH FIXING.
NOTHING IS EXPLAINED IN THIS GAME. NOTHING.
THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER LOOK AT THE GAME AGAIN. IT IS NICE, JUST NEEDS A BIT TWEAKING. I SUGGEST YOU LOOK AT IT AGAIN IN A FEW MONTHS.
