The Deadringer removes fire from you but note that if a Pyro keeps throwing flames at you, you will start burning again, and your cloak will be useless.
Your disguise contains key elements, which you have no control over. For a start you take the name of an enemy player, using the class you selected as a disguise. If there is only one Engineer on the opposing team, and you’re trying to disable his Sentry under the guise of being that Engineer, you’re going to be caught instantly. The other snag to the Engineer disguise is also related to the limitations of your disguise. As a disguised Spy you always hold the primary weapon of that class, and you can’t pretend to fire it. Engineers normally switch between the wrench and shotgun, so an engineer with a shotgun sticks out.
