In doing so, he gains the attention of two crows, who quickly start plucking carrots as well. I won't ruin the ending for you, but the everyone dies at the end.

Soulstone Survivors is the epitome of an early access game. If you're not all about that beta-testing-the-game-for-free-and-half-the-features-missing, then don't get this game.

Gameplay-wise, it's a very nice loop and you do hit that serotonin high as you mow down everyone in your way.

This game is big on its legacy element and your character does get a lot stronger the more you play it.

However,

• Half the features are missing.
  
• No in game encyclopedia of what does what or what skills you're allowed to have on your character or even what all the skills are. Leaves you guessing most of the time.
  
• Suffering from too much visual clutter. There's lots of red circles to dodge, but all your skills are very beautifully animated and take away enemy visibility. So you turn down the visuals. Now the game looks super bland, but at least you won't die to something unexpected anymore.
  
• Stats are unbalanced. There's no reason to take defensive stats because at higher levels, you're going to die in one shot anyway, and ironically, offense is the better defense.

My recommendation: check back when this game hits 1.0.
