Do you like Peggle? Do you like Dungeon Crawlers? Do you like Roguelikes?

Well, this has it all! Think "Peggle The Spire" or "Slay The Peggle"

Nice colourful graphics, witty humour, and the Peggle charm of everyone's favourite puzzler (Apart from Tetris of course!)
Leaderboards, quests, unlocks, just what you'd expect.

In the short time I have played this, I have enjoyed it a lot. And I think I have found a game I can come back too, time and time again, to fight the boredom whilst I browse my library to play something, or have general disinterest in anything, you know when your brain lets you know "Two hours have passed, you need to sleep/eat/wash/blink! You've done nothing again you Idiot!" you get the drift.

Anyway, ill report back, if something changes my mind, otherwise, take the punt, download the demo, or watch some vids!

So this game got a lot of hate because it wasn’t made by Rocksteady.
Well that’s just silly, whilst it’s not as good as Arkham City, didn’t give you the tension of Asylum, or look as good as Knight, it’s still a solid game, with free flow combat, amazing cutscenes, and an awesome fight against Deathstroke.

What I feel lets this down is the story, all these villain’s in Batmans second year, the Joker organises this whole crazy “Night” yes night, who he hasn’t met before, then manages to warp Harleens mind in one psych sitting, Banes there, Copperhead, Firefly, but It just seemed a bit all over the place, as someone who collects, I know my source.
It just didn’t seem like an improvement on Rocksteadys Arkham City, it was step sideward, it could have been more, but it was a “prequel” so I understand its limitations.

The crime scenes are a worthy edition, which let you play out as the world’s greatest detective, not you Sherlock, analysing for blood splatters, reconstructing crimes, it’s very enjoyable, but its not a puzzle, more a look here!

The voice acting is very good, but like many of you out there, we associate Conway/Hamill so that always loomed in my mind. And a good score inspired by DieHard with its Christmas theme.

As the story progresses, we see Batmans utility belt grow, upgrading his arsenal of gadgets, this usually happen after Boss fights, which were very well thought out played and memorable, despite me loathing the Bane fight due to the controls having the same button map slide and lift grate, but it was interesting to see the progression that way.

There are many side quests to keep you occupied, Riddler trophies, sorry Datapacks, Penguins weapons caches, Anarkys bombs, Shiva, Fries DLC mission, but they didn’t feel necessary, they were just there, the reward was not that great unfortunately, and didn’t entice me to 100% it.

The fighting is good, though battles can take a long time, 30+ hits on 5 goons, made me not “feel” like Batman, and more Batmite, that’s why the silent predator option is preferred.

Bugs wise, there are some random things going on, like buttons not registering (Thanks 74 was my mx BTW) in combos, not being able to grapple at times, the cape doing odd stuff, enemies seeing me through explosive gel walls, and in the ceiling so I wouldn’t get predator bonuses, getting stuck in GCPD because I didn’t use the door, something batman does a lot apparently. And my favourite, a roll of carpet obstructing my path, unless I took a running dive over it!

This game would be the stepping stone for WB Montreal into Shadow of Mordor, and whilst I mentioned in the opening paragraph it’s a good game, and an enjoyable playthrough, it just didn’t capture me like Rocksteadys titles did.

Can you fly?
Do you dream of flying?
Or rather is it that you want to “fall with style”!
Well look no further.

This game is cheap, and for the time I’ve spent playing so far, I’m in Love!

It really has given me the “just one more” that games can instil, and an hour has passed, and yet it cost the same as a quick trip to the local shop for bread and milk, or an overpriced hot drink on the way to work (even less if it’s on sale)

Its procedurally generated worlds, that have seed number so you can share, display some lovely scenery, and can be saved if you found one that takes your fancy, though some colour schemes reminded me of shell suit jackets!

The good, well the game itself, its just one of those games, its a solid title. A wingsuit game, its why your looking, a pleasant time waster, an online scoreboard, infinite levels, can be played on a potato.

The best part though, the controls, they really are sublime! As you scrape by the wall, netting yourself a big bonus, you really get that feeling that you did that, they are so tight, trying to get through a ridiculous hole, or narrow passage and getting a filthy score is very exciting!

My gripes though, I wish there was an “Air Brake” maybe to make a turn just a little bit tighter sometimes.

I’d also like a “Ghost” so I could perhaps improve my pathways, knowing that there is a good route this way.

Its cost, it’s unfair, I’ve paid next to nothing for so far 3 hours of fun!
Perhaps an OST, or an Orc skin :) Maybe trading cards? (Check out Islanders to help show them some love)

Please, just buy it, play it, and have fun, thankyou GrizzlyGames

As I come from Birmingham (Up the Villa!), Saurans Eye gazes upon me daily, so as someone who is fond of Tolkiens writings, I was naturally drawn to play anything related to the lore.

So the first game Shadow of Mordor, was a great title, and introduced the Nemesis system, which was mindboggling when it came out. The game adapted to the way you played, and made it more interesting than, poof your dead, poof your dead aswell.

So the return of the series with an improved system? Yes please!
What an upgrade, there is so much more interaction with these Captains, blood brothers, death threat, recruitment, promotion, shaming! Memorable characters with great dialogue, there are some comical ones in the bunch, a bard, two faces, one word!

If you're after a Witcher replacement, you haven’t arrived, you are getting Assassins Creed, but better!

There’s a lot to do in this, like, a lot, a lot. Story missions a plenty, We’ve got Orc Quests, Elatriel, Carnan, Baranor, Shelob, Pit fights, Online vendettas and Seiges, I forgot to mention, you now own a fort, after you’ve claimed it of course! Which you then fortify with Orcs, and fight would be attackers, Plus so much more.

As the game progresses Celebrimbors Elf powers, turn you into a superhuman powerhouse, teleporting here and there lopping off heads, slamming hammers into fire pits, shooting arrows like Legolas, riding caragors, ologs, and drakes, it really is a lot of fun.
The story is great, Rich Bryant (Fable) and the voice acting sublime (Troy Baker, Nolan North, Pollyanna McIntosh, JB Blanc), download the 4k video pack for luscious cutscenes!

Now the problems, climbing can be annoying, but seriously what game doesn’t do this you.
You can’t always do what you wanted i.e. a ledge takedown, I’d like to throw him off please, sorry, and you’re going to stab him, messed up that challenge then.
My favourite things, quick time, oh yes, stupid $%*(&! Caragors . (Thankyou Spider-Man for auto complete!)

And finally, repetition. The last act(s), it takes like for ever! I found it to be tedious at times, thought I’d finished, nope another one, have I? You get the picture. But then again, why am I complaining that there’s too much content? But you’ll see. Great nod to the LOTR movies from this though. If you NEED to see it, then do it for the precious, otherwise, a little YouTube wouldn’t hurt.
Otherwise this is a solid action game, as you can see through my playthrough, I’ve spent a lot of time with these orcs and their heads, and there is a whole lot to do, and more endgame. 8.5/10

A lot of fun if you end up in a Squad that talks and has a brain.

Truly unique experience!

First off, this game is relentless! Its filthy hard, the bosses, heck some of the levels are punishing enough in their on right to make people cry.
Coming from the generation of the Megadrive and SNES I feel i may have the upper advantage Chakan, Kid Chameleon, Ghouls and Ghosts, Contra, Shinobi and Shadow of the Beast.

Anyway, its gorgeous to look at, the visuals would have gave it 5 out of 5 even if the game was poor, but it isnt the audio is great, level design is great, bosses are spectacular and its its a fun little explore and do this next, not set levels, so if your stuck on a particular bit, yo can go somewhere else before you end your controllers life.

Did i mention it looks gorgeous? I did, well just buy it, support Studio MDHR, and play this masterpiece!

The Turing Test is a puzzle game, with the name in homage to Alan Turing OBE FRS who was the founder of modern computing, and the story based on the idea that an AI would have the ability to be indistinguishable from, that of a human.

Thus leading to our main characters TOM and Ava. TOM is the AI who needs Ava to solve the puzzles using the Energy Manipulation Tool (EMT), a gun that holds various types of energy charges, that are used to power doors, lifts, magnets, platforms etc To help progress you through the story and discover the cause behind the disappearance of the ground crew stationed there.

The game pays great homage to Portal, and is similar to others like QUBE and The Talos Principal (Other great games BTW!) There is a great script and whilst Ava's lines seemed Mediocre and unconvincing, Tom really steals the show, with a nice passive voice (I swore it was Jeremy Irons lol), thats makes you believe hes the wise, senior type. Giving a great story throughout the game, thats very much the mystery scifi experience without Portals comedy element.

Length wise there are 7 chapters with 10 levels and bonus levels earning you achievements for their completion (Sector 6's will drive you nuts!) with Audio logs, and tablets, letters lying around to cover more story.

Visually its stunning, using Nvidias DSR with Ultra settings and getting 60FPS (Well it is first person!) With an ambient score, and scifi sound effects to boot.

One problem I found was the loading times, but this is a good thing as it loads the entire chapter it would seem, as opposed to Portals one level, get in the lift (Hate that thing) which may prove slower on some older systems, but that was my only gripe with the game.

One of the few games ive preordered and whilst ive put in around 8 hours, it could have been completed in shorter time, giving it decent value for money, but we will see what the DLC holds!

Wild Island Quest is a story driven game, with alternate choices and endings.

The story isn't very strong and is very similar to the choice books growing up as a child (Tom Hanks and the movie BIG lying about those digital choice comics!)

Also the images chosen look like the graphic renderings of the 3dFx Voodoo 2, loving the scene in the white meadows obtaining the “Sweet Death” achievement and the haunting stare on the kids faces that are the stuff of nightmares!

Overall it feels like I have time travelled, yet the release was 2015, the game/story isn't enjoyable, and despite numerous choices and apparent effort, it just doesn't do anything for me. Whilst the cheap price tag, it still would be better if it was found in a bundle.
