I have quite a few hours in this game and ill sadly say; dont purchase this game as it is right now.

This game was fun before, when it was heavily populated and brand new with the shiny "wow" factor but that has not aged well for DoD. The developer does not care for this game and it shows, after so much funding from the kickstarters the game only has a few features. Grow, kill bugs for food, breed, elder.

Breeding right now is RNG entirely, youll get the same bloodline as the parents so if they are both A you will become an A bloodline, but the + and ++ of stats is entirely random and frankly, has been terrible since they nerfed it. The stats becoming rng was to take into account a dragon that is suppose to be released, and still isnt after years. Though i guess that doest matter anyways cause once (if) they update the game to its true version, you lose all your dragons and progress.

I have been waiting on the same update that was promised to release in December of last year which never did, its now being promised to drop this coming december but ive stopped holding my breath for anymore development on this game besides adding bare bone dragons that can do nothing but grow, kill bugs for food, and then elder or die.

The community members are kind, but if you want a good survival game please look elsewhere. I am so sad to give up on Dod, i met so many wonderful people in my hours played and used to back this game 100%. I just dont see it hardly ever progressing any further than it is right now unless there are major changes, changes that should have happened over a year ago.

If youre still interested in buying this game, my suggestion is to wait a few months and check back to see if anything has changed that isnt just adding another dragon. Ive been here since it came out and its essentially still the same game it was when it came out in 2019 with the "promise" of more.
