Do you like menus within menus within menus?? Do you like poor tutorial systems? Do you like having no idea why you're choosing the options you're choosing (and still usually winning for some reason)? You'll love this game!

Terrible tutorial system and early game introduction. No idea what I'm doing. I just button mash and put no thought into my decisions and it keeps saying I'm winning ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really wanted to like this game, but right now I can't even write a full fair gameplay review because the keyboard controls are so abysmal and uncustomizable that I just can't get a feel for it. The worst part is that it's such a simple fix (I'm a game developer myself and I know how simple this is to do in their game engine, Unity). I know they say that it's recommended that you play it with a controller, but I don't have one, and I can't think of a logical reason as to why they wouldn't do this 30 minute fix to accommodate for a massive player base while not affecting anyone else.
The keyboard controls default to the arrow keys for movement and z + x for run/action and jump, respectively. No problem, we can just remap these, right? We're all gamers here, so naturally we remap movement to WASD. Easy. Now for the run button. Naturally, that's shift for the vast majority of games. Whoops, shift isn't allowed for some reason. I guess we'll just use Ctrl then. Nope, that doesn't work either. Maybe we can map that to Space, but that feels like jump. No big deal, we map it to some arbitrary key we're not used to and hop into the game.
Here's where the next problem comes in: let's say we're immediately used to using the run/action button. I grew up on gameboy games like Super Mario Bros where the B button is both run and fire. This is second nature to me, but it turns out that that applies ONLY on controllers; on keyboard, it feels clunky and unnatural. There's at least couple simple fixes to this: either allow for separate run/action buttons, OR allow for both a primary and alternate run/action button. This would allow for more users to feel comfortable with the controls while giving no exploitable advantage.
The game is innovative, simple, and introduces interesting yet intuitive mechanics to further the gameplay, so I see no reason that this game shouldn't hit the 90s in steam score.

This game could seriously benefit from a better tutorial system. I played for 41 minutes and still didn't feel like I had a solid grasp of what's going on. With a Steam rating of "Overwhelmingly Positive," I'm sure it gets more fun once you really start getting into it, but I don't have a huge amount of time to play games, so that's a big chunk of time for me. The problem could also just be that I'm stupid ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I absolutely loved this game. However, I will state that it isn't for every horror fan.
The game doesn't rely on jump scares, and consequently, won't scare the absolute pants off of you. Instead, the horror relies on great sound design, visuals, and interesting events to create a thoroughly unsettling atmosphere.
This game's quality is heavily dependent on its storyline and mystery, so it is the type of game you must play to the end to really appreciate. Don't buy it if you just want to have a good time getting scared with friends. Much of the story is hidden within scattered clues that must be mentally pieced together.
As far as gameplay goes, it's a pretty standard point-and-click puzzle that uses story clues to figure out what to do next. It's relatively easy, which I think is good for a story-oriented game with simple gameplay.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a puzzling horror story. While it definitely has its scares, it's not for someone who's just looking for a simple freak-me-out experience.

I have more hours played on this game than any of my paid games by far.
The quests are a ton of fun, and the community is really great and accomodating to newcomers.

This game captures the true reason VR was invented. It seriously makes you feel like a total badass.
The controls are pretty simple, but there's a good skill curve for getting better at the game.
The game currently works only in arena modes, but I think it would be cool in the future to see a full fledged campaign where you're not restricted to one relatively small map.

I went into this game thinking that the VR aspect would just be some gimmicky way to show a movie, but it actually was extremely well done. I can absolutely see more movies coming out with this style in the future.
The story itself was charming and sweet and no more complicated than it needed to be.

Donnie Darko meets Alice in Wonderland.

This game is thoroughly bizarre, creepy bloody, cute, and tragic. The storyline and mystery keeps you constantly interested and making theories about what's going on.

If you're easily scared and only want a game that will scare you, you'll like this game.

If you want clever and interesting storylines/mysteries along with horror, this game is garbage.

Generic storyline, generic "scary" moments, predictable, unoriginal, and terribly cheesy voice acting. There's no clear objective in the game, so it just feels like you're just walking around thinking "hmm, I guess I'll see what's going to try to scare me here" on loop for the entire game.

I'm a huge fan of horror and I'm not easy to scare, so I care more about quality of everything, and there is just nothing positive to say about this game.
