Great game, but....

This is an amazing game that places definitions on what new games should follow, especially from new developers. It has an amazing gameplay loop, no pay-to-win, and its a game as a service done right.

Bad People

Sony/Arrowhead posted an update requiring all HD2 players to have a steam account, linked to a PSN account, and if they don't have a PSN they must make one, otherwise you can NOT play the game.

I did not buy a game on steam, to be forced to make a PSN account that ultimately will be forgotten forever at some point in time. There is already a massive DRM epidemic on Steam with Paradox/Ubisoft Connect/ EA Play, which is already almost inexcusable. This is a different level as this solves/prevents nothing except being able to collect more data to ultimately have a yearly data breach, following Sonys' norms. With several users reporting that the game was actually MORE enjoyable with crossplay disabled, and PSN not linked, this is simply insane. Most people being outside the return period by weeks, a couple hours, or even seemingly hundreds of hours not being able to refund the game because of this malpractice.

A company should not be able to restrict a game like this after purchase, and this deserves to be shamed as much as any other company (IE Paradox), without forgiveness unless its' removed.

Genuienly will be avoiding this game as I can not recover my 10 y/o PSN account on my email as it's entirely broken, and it'd require me making an entirely new email.

Why am I paying 70 dollars for a game that won't let me play half the modes? They keep advertising new modes and maps but you never see any of the stuff because it's in constantly rotating playlists. I understand LTMs and FOMO as a tactic but, they restrict the game down so much I get on and turn it off half the time because I don't want to play half the stuff they are running in the rotation. I just want to play trios and duos on al mazrah like I could a year ago, why are these modes missing and locked down to resurgence and vondel. Ridiculous that a game can TAKE content away from you especially with tax its close to an 80 dollar steam game, upwards of hundreds if you stupidly invest in Codpoints or BP. This is also in addition to the horrible UI + Battlepass, where is the Old warzone with plunder and BR that had some cool skins like Ghost, and all of the OG operators, instead of anime and hiphop music tracks? Forced to play DMZ for a semi normal 30~ minute Battle Royale experience. Don't buy this game, or the next, it sucks and the campaign was only good for the 7 hours it took me to beat it

Waste of $75.41 dollars.

The Enshittification of the game industry is prime here, no wonder indie games in 2024 are now dominating the market.

Oh and, 1/4th of my hours is either matchmaking, restart to updates, or shader optimization

SWAT 5, Has some bugs but great game.

I don't keep many games I buy, but this game is balls to the walls crazy at times, goes from 0-100 instantly and is VERY FUN with friends. Highly reccomend

This game is like pure cocaine to me

Fun for 10 minutes, same thing after 20

After playing cities skylines for several years, watching the DLC flood into the store has made it near unplayable unless you pay for all the DLC. The same thing is happening with Prison Architect. I would reccomend this game before it was bought by Paradox Interactive, but I just cant anymore.

This is the most unique game I have ever played. But I want to get one thing perfectly clear, it is NOT a battle Royale.
Battle Royales have a map, with a zone that kills you over time and shrinks. This game has a map, that you can go anywhere at any time. Battle royale, you have to kill to win. In the hunt, you just have to leave alive, you can get in a match, kill 2 zombies, and extract. Ooooor you can try to get the Boss, kill every player, then leave. You have too much freedom for this game to be a battle Royale.

Now about performance. As of when this is posted, I was using a ryzen 5 2600 with a GTX 1050 ti, I averaged 60 FPS with medium settings and antialiasing turned off.

Sound..... I would highly recommend any Dolby Atmos headsets, this game is so freaky. The sound is on point, owth audio cues, everyone can hear you talk, etc.
