I haven't finished the game but from what I've played so far, this is a genuinely great and terrifying experience. Scott just has an amazing way with horror and it's unlike anything else we have in the horror scene. Thank you, Scott, for almost 10 years of this franchise. It's an amazing milestone and I couldn't have asked for something better to enjoy.

I have a term that I like to call "nostalgia for an age never experienced". Basically, it's when you never experienced something in its heyday, but you experience it later and look back on what other people know it's past for. This game is the pinnacle of that for me. I love this game. The campaign is awesome, the multiplayer is phenomenal. It makes me wish I could have experienced the golden age of CoD to its full extent. Thanks for the fun, CoD4.

While this game can be a bit annoying to actually start up and get going, the gameplay and modes makes up for it. I specifically play Zombies because of the sheer amount of Workshop content that just raises the mode above the rest of the game. If I had to pick a favorite non-workshop map, it would definitely be the remake of Kino Der Toten. Back on Black Ops I, this make was just my favorite and the Black Ops III version is nothing short of a faithful recreation of a classic map.
Would I recommend you pay full price for this game? No, not at all. I got this game for half-price (which was $30) and I think that for what I got, that was a fair enough price. So I would wait for this game to go on sale if you want it.

UPDATE: This review is old. I said that the game was annoying to start up, meaning that it crashed often. I am back a couple years later to say that it was all user error. The game runs great.

I first got this game on Xbox and loved it on there. I had The Founder's pack and I loved it. The fact that it has an account system so I can carry my progress makes it even better. This game is well made and plays good. i recommend it to everyone.
