I thought I was immune to nostalgia, or had some rare disease that meant I couldn't feel it, but here's Pavlov and it feels like the 2010s again. This is one of the rare places you can catch the early Gmod vibe and level of mayhem in the various workshop creations.

Being able to climb into CoD:MW maps from a a decade and a half ago and physically stand there, going 'oh hey this is the place from that game', it's quite the feeling.

Downside is, either my spectacles are highly rose tinted, or gamers got even more vile over the years because damn if you play in public lobbies the things you hear will be downright NASTY. Teenagers weren't this desperate to say the n word in 2010 that's for sure.

game's broken. sure the movement is a lot more fluid, shooting feels weightier and the UI's had a much needed overhaul, but it means jack if you're effectively rolling dice with other players as to which of your actions actually display to everyone and whose bullets actually hit. Even their official game modes are borked to hell, with respawns and respawn timers being a lie, and a 50/50 chance of the act of respawning disconnecting you from any given server. Given the absolute delusion from the community so far, I won't believe anyone who says 'it's fixed' until it's been at least 18 months.
