One of the most beautiful games i've ever played.
The Notre Dame de Paris at dusk..
the angry Frenchmen storming the Bastille...
The sight of the Guillotine with its infamous flower crown with the words LIBERTY OR DEATH and the silent procession of nobles to the execution block.

Paris is alive in its dirty, sick and stunning glory - from the loud markets, to the Versailles ballrooms to the slums where the poor beg for a piece of bread. It's as real as the awful past can get. Also, +10 if you speak French because the background voiceover is very well done with authentic French accents mimicking the bustle and hustle of a big city.

Atmosphere is something this game does not lack.

But it is absolutely true that it could have been so much better. The French Revolution is an amazing setting for a game and they didn't exploit it enough - Arno is a boring character (though hot AF.. damn boy), the story gets confusing at times.

The co-op gameplay is as fun as the main trailer makes it look like and there are enough players almost 5 years later online that you won't run out of people to join the missions with you.
