Planet Zoo, what can I say - possibly one of the best, most creative driven sandbox games I've played in a long time. I was in love with Zoo Tycoon, and Zoo Tycoon 2 growing up and was always trying to find a game to fill that void as I grew older. Planet Zoo does that for me, it has a beautiful world to build and create, very rich and realistic animals, and the ability to build that is limited merely by your imagination.

They have shown time and time again that they listen to feedback, have been swift with updates and have provided a wonderful community with people who love to share their creations and talk about the amazing animals. I am insanely proud to have this game in my collection, and will continue to pump many more hours into this amazing creation!

I love this game.

I have enjoyed watching it grow, and turn into what it is today.

I have owned the game before it even came to Steam, and I have never once regretted my decision – I had hours put into then, and have 52 hours into it now that it is on Steam. Sadly, that low number isn’t because I haven’t wanted to play it is because my real life has been hectic.

This game has helped me get my mind off real life, has helped me pass time and create worlds. I think the Devs have an amazing sense of humor, they really care about the game (despite what anyone else things, it has been shown time and time again) and while it is not Black and White it is amazing in its own right. I have recommended this game to friends, have gushed about it to my husband and can find myself lost in the game for hours!

Sure, there are things that can be improved on but I have seen each patch build upon or fix things – I do not expect an update every month, I understand it takes time to make a good game. I would rather a game be in development longer then expected, then for them to throw a half-made game out into the world. I have watched this game grow, and get better and better. I look forward to all the content they will add, and will continue to support this game.

I have been obsessed with Dungeon Keeper since I was a kid, I remember at the time I didn't have my own PC so everytime I went over to my friends house I would binge play DK. By the time DK2 came out, I had my own (albeit crappy) little computer and to be honest I invested hours upon hours into that game. As I got older, I started pining for another game to fill that Dungeon Keeper itch - I am not even sure how I stumbled across WFTO, but holy cow I am SO glad I did!! It is everything I could want in a Dungeon Management game.

Not to mention it TOTALLY fills that void that Dungon Keeper once filled. The narrator is honestly amazing, I could listen to his witty banter forever - there is a pleathora of unique creatures with their own personalities, and hilarious little voice overs. Plus, I love the art style and humor that is spread across the entire game and it just makes it that much more enthralling. I would recommend this game 10x over to anyone who enjoyed Dungeon Keeper, and has a good sense of humor. This game is totally in my top 5 games I currently REALLY enjoy! Good job Brightrock, good job!

Well first off, I was a little put off by the 'mixed' reviews at first. However, after watching the stream and seeing how involved the Devs are in updating and working on content I made the commitment and spent the money.

I have to say, overall, I am pleased with my purchase. I absoluteley ADORE the graphics, the hearthlings are adorable and I love the current system implemented for crafting and combat (I think the little knights are so cute, and I really enjoy the Archers) - This game is still in EA so, with that in mind, most of my review will be with that in mind.

Pros:

+ Adorable Graphics, and rich colors.
+ Enjoyable music, brings the game to life.
+ (The new building editor is coming soon, so this is based off the old one) Enjoyable customization, once I figured it out I could create elaborate little homes and 'shops' for my hearthlings.
+ The combat is cute, and seems to work well.
+ Bar the lag issues I had in the Alpha unstable (expected) this game has held my attention for 43 hours thus far, and I bought it 72 hours ago.

Cons:

+ Optimization, the game gets laggy the more hearthlings and buildings (and I have a computer that plays much more graphic/CPU intensive games)
+ The patrols for the footmen, knights, archers, and clerics could be better designed.
+ The fact that for some reason my hearthlings will choose to ignore certain things that should be moved to storage.

The pros outweigh the cons, and I am excited to see the developments and work that the team intends on putting in. I still feel as though it was money well spent, and I would recommend someone (once again, keep in mind it is EA) who loves building, and doesn't mind the minecraft-esque art style to give it a whirl.
