I tried to like this game given I'm a fan of D&D and the Borderlands series as a whole, but it just is bland.

This game feels so soulless and uninspired regardless of the idea behind it.

I wondered why I sank so much time and money into the game + DLC today while playing through the Krieg DLC. The story is very meh, the levels are downright awful sometimes, bu the guns and gunplay are so massively improved from the previous entries. Thanks to adderall tunnel vision and some free time I can say I beat the game and almost all DLC at this point (solo only).

Now is it fun? Sort of. Combat rocks, everything else is borderline meh to a slog sometimes. This is maybe a 5/10 from me, and that's being generous. If it's on deep sale, which it has been pretty frequently, it's worth it. The DLC's aren't all worth it though. I'd skip the Krieg DLC completely if you were looking to spend on this one. Good for some entertainment, but not great
