pros: very fun when there's teamwork

cons: DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A 1080P OR BELOW MONITOR.
heres why:
- it's extremely blurry. doesn't matter what you have in terms of PC specs, you literally can not identify friendlies and foes from anywhere beyond 20 meters.
- anti-aliasing makes ghosting very prevalent, i've never seen such a bad implementation of AA before
- turning AA off makes the game extremely sharp
- developers have never addressed this issue before, in spite of numerous forum posts about the blur dating back more than 2 years.

if you don't have 1080p monitors, but have very modern GPUs/CPUs (nvidia 3000 series/amd 6000 series), this is should also be a turnoff for you. here's why.
- "not enough VRAM" if you turn on Resizeable BAR or AMD Smart Access Memory that literally boots you from the game no matter how much VRAM you have (I have an RTX 3060 with 12GB, while the game only uses 3GB supposedly, in practice I get a crash every 10-20 minutes)
- the game is also limited to 4 CPU *threads*, not cores, *threads*, which presents a huge bottlenecking issue for modern CPUs
- game is also not optimized for radeon 6000 series and nvidia 3000 series, leading to a drop in performance if you were using an older GPU like an nvidia 1000 series card, switching to a 3000 series card.
note: this is only from my experience and what i've seen on the official discord for squad.

while squad is great fun, especially with friends or cooperative teammates, i would have to give this a hard no for anyone with 1080p monitors or modern hardware simply because of the issue that its barely playable and the performance is lackluster at best, with multiple hardware issues despite the new GPUs being out for nearly a year.

Early Access Review
Very fun game, engaging to players who are used to the original Door Kickers game, enough level to keep you entertained including custom community made maps (obtainable via the discord for now) for quite a while. Graphics are decent yet optimized to the point that your grandmothers pc can run it fine. Gameplay itself is very nice, satisfying while chaotic. Bugs are few and far between, pretty polished in spite of just coming out.

However the game suffers from a pretty big problem is that a lot of the equipment's purposes aren't fully explained, leaving them unused for people unwilling to leave their established comfort zone. Another thing to highlight is the fact that there aren't any real tutorials for tactics that go more in depth (I think a YouTube video is sufficient). A lack of customization in terms of display and graphics are also apparent, though I don't think it's that major.

Overall, the game is extremely enjoyable, there aren't many problems in regards to gameplay, but lack of content/lore and the lackluster explanation of the deeper mechanics of the game does somewhat get in the way of enjoyment, though not too much. 8/10 as an early access game, I hope it becomes a 9 when it is finished.
