This is a direct link to the first step in my previous link: https://wiki.gearcity.info/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:steam_installfolder#steamaccessing_install_folder Be sure to follow the instructions for "OSX" As that is what Apple called their operating system before they rebranded it. Let me know if you still have trouble getting to the files, and I'll see if I can make some steps with screenshots.
It might just be me who havent got the hang of the game mechanics yet, but seemed a bit strange that by 1910 my company have a market cap of around 55 mill, while this UD cars company have reached a market cap of 1.135.849.600.
I started with 750K, seemed this particular Ai company started with 20 mill seen in stock report. While I have struggled to expand to 15 production lines, this company now has 23 factories globally, 9 branches and the factory in my area (UK) has 75 production lines.
On my latest savegame the branches has been corrected, I took a screenshort earlier in the game where the stock report for UD car showed branches / dealerships like this :
3,5.5,685,714,285,714 for Britannia.
Dont worry I think I will start a new game all over, but seems I have to start with some more cash to compete.
Please file a bug report on the official forums or via email. Also include the save game, zipped. And let me know what company to look at. https://wiki.gearcity.info/doku.php?id=troubleshooting:steam_savegamefile
That said, the AI wealth setting is only for the starting cash AI companies have. The amount is based on the .xml files. (So if you're playing with mods, this might be a reason.) If the company itself does well in the game, that's not really a bug.
The AI does not have the same branch growth restrictions as the player when playing on harder difficulty levels.
The AI is also still severally limited in capacity against a good player. You should be able to carve up it's market share by attacking it's markets directly if you have the funds to do so.
Can provide screenshots if the game is still updated.
