If you're interested in this, you probably played Volgarr 1.
If you liked it, you're gonna like this one.

Even better in pretty much every way
- Longer levels.
- More challenging.
- Better equipement system.
- Better music.

Only thing that Volgarr 1 did better thus far (I'm only on level 3) is the bosses.

Also be warned there's a hidden easy mode that triggers if you run out of continues and still click "yes" on the game over screen.
It turns you undead and makes you virtually unkillable.

There's also mini-checkpoints you should refrain from destroying if you don't want to restart the whole half level when you die.

These are two things I feel the game should've done a better job warning you about.

If you can get it for a decent price (I'd say 13€ tops), the story's probably better than any Justice League film you've seen.
Certainly light years ahead of Zack Snyder's drivel.

Be warned, if you buy this for the story, the cutscenes have huge sound issues, like desynced audio and crackling sound.

Do not bother downloading this unless you intend to pay.
This is the dumbest and most pointless FreeToPlay model I've ever seen.

I held off for a very long time, because let's face it, the nickel and diming was pretty scummy.
I mean you bought Hitman 1 & 2, and then you had to rebuy it? No way to buy just 3 alone?

However, if you never did buy Hitman 1 or Hitman 2; it's definetly worth buying for like 30 bucks when it's on sale.
If you did buy the previous episodes, it kinda still feel like a scam for anything over 20€/$ at this point past release.

I do not recommend the Deluxe Edition, which only gets you 3 DLC, 2 of which are not worth the money.

But, again, on sale, I do recommend the Hitman 2 expansion on its own, which is the only DLC worth getting.

The port is good.
Runs without a hitch on a 3060Ti and a Ryzen 7 1700.

Also, one of the best games I've ever played.
(Already got 2-3 playthroughs on PS5, which I sold as soon as this game got a PC release date)

Really great but can't in good conscience recommend it due to absolutely abysmal performances.

Would be pretty good if it wasn't still a typical Ubisoft open world game.
Which means you can't travel 15 seconds straight without having to fight or hide from enemies.

It's even more annoying in this game than other Ubi games, cause you see that cool dirt bike? Yeah, you can't really use it,
cause you're just gonna get shot.

The gameplay is actually really good.

And I don't like using these words, cause I know they lost all meaning, but not liking Alan Wake's gameplay is literally nothing more than a skill issue.

It requires skills that the vast majority of other games don't, chief among which would be a good sense of situational awareness.

And from my experience of multiplayer games, very, very, VEEEEERY few people possess those skills. Hence why "Alan Wake gameplay bad" is such a widespread opinion.
