This is probably the best satire game I've ever played. I want others to play it too. Please do so!

(Playstation has agreed to remove their rather insane "security" policy for PC going forward. Please update your reviews guys!)

Early Access Review
I'm not in this for Ashley. These chains will not hold me back from this fledgling serial killer.

Jokes aside, I highly recommend this game. It's unironically about an abusive, codependent relationship and the pits that one person can pull another into. Obviously a very personal bit of writing on behalf of the writers, and I think it should be recognized as such.

Actually fairly decent for a baby's first FPS. Teaches fairly important skills that carry over to a good number of FPS games.

I bought this game out of nostalgia mostly. I was expecting something along the tines of The Complete Saga from back in the day. A compilation of either what we've had before or something that builds on it. I was not expecting a collection of hubs separated by vehicle levels. There are boss fights. There is combat. There is building. There is platforming. But all of this takes place in what we would expect to have been made into a hub for levels back in the day. I kept playing and asking "okay, how do I get to the actual levels" until I realized that this was it. This was the game. If you are, like me, here because you played lego games back in the day, don't get this. Either the formula for lego games has changed since I last played to such an extent that you can't even recognize it, or this is someone's sick, twisted joke that feed on nostalgia value.

This game is a good start. When I fist downloaded it, I was worried that it looked as good as it did, was as complete as it was, and was completely free. I was terrified that I was downloading a bitcoin miner.

To anyone having the same worried, don't worry, it's fine. The reason is this: It's a demo.

Overall though, it's a fairly good start to a game and I'd play it if it were finished.

So, the game isn't what I was expecting. Anyone who had a similar thought process to me, this is not another Jedi Knight game. This is it's own thing, and it frankly feels more like an Uncharted game. However, it is enjoyable, and it definitely does feel like Star Wars.
It does contain the typical modernism of an overly modern, relatable character in the form of the captain, however, I find him at the very least tolerable, if not enjoyable.
Overall, don't go in expecting a Jedi Knight game, but doe expect something.

While the base building is a bit of a low point, I will most definitely recommend it. This game is a slight turn from the usual style of Spiderweb, placing you in the shoes of a city builder. You are tasked with resource collection, and you are given the tools to reclaim the land for the glory of the land of Haven. The lore is interesting, and I do enjoy this newfound power that was only slightly touched on in the Avadon series. You are really placed in the shoes of a powerful noble. I will, however, complain about the inability to direct your soldiers' efforts. Decisions about directing your troops' movement would have been a welcome addition.

Overall, this game is fantastic, despite a few easily ignorable shortcomings. I hope you enjoy it, and pray this is the first in a new trilogy.

I'm so happy that these games are finally on steam.

Avernum 2 is amazing. In fact, it's one of the best games I've ever played. Now that it has been remastered, it's even better. It's a turn-based tactical combat RPG, focusing 5 or so years (from what I can tell) after Escape from the Pit. The game assumes that you 100% finished the first game. You play as a different group of adventurerers this time, being soldiers of Avernum hoping for glory in the war with the Empire.

This game has no voice acting, and little to no music. A bit was added to the ambiance with monster noises while in combat, which is a cool touch.

Overall, I would recommend this game to my friends, but I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't like reading blocks of text.
