Takeshi's Castle: The Game

If you grew up watching Takeshi's Castle or MXC then you know what to expect here. It's basically a game show with mini-challenges at each stage and you either pass or get eliminated till there's only one left standing (think Battle Royale in modern terms).

The game is a lot of fun despite current server issues. Some of the levels seem weighted more than others currently so variety seems sparse despite knowing there's a pretty good range of levels since I played in the Technical Beta and played most if not all the levels.

Cosmetics are nice, tons of variety even at the start of the game, you rarely see 2 beans looking identical, and you can earn in game currency to buy other items, with additional DLC cosmetics available. It's a very good balance between real-world currency and in-game currency.

Edit: Still a fantastic game, the cosmetics are amazing, and the new maps are great as well.

One of my most anticipated "Remasters" in years but it fell pretty flat by lack of effort on revising the Netcode to meet today's standards for online play. Co-Op is a huge component in the Halo series, many of us grew up with friends playing on the couch side by side in a Warthog with split screen. Flash forward to today and we've grown much older and have lives and homes of our own and after a long day of work we sometimes just want to sit down and connect with those same friends and destroy some Covenant, but due to the Netcode that latency makes whoever isn't host have a horrible experience.

The Co-Op is a major let down, it's very unfortunate.
