The aesthetics of the 32 bit era like in SOTN stand out from this game. It was short, but sweet. On the other hand, it's difficult in a way that's meant to sharpen your skills to play it all the way through. Although when it comes to finding every item to increase stats like hit points and other perks, it's not as frustrating. The music however goes really well with the boss battles. I enjoyed it for the most part. The story is something to enjoy too.
I see what the devs were going for. I just hope to see another game from the guys behind this game someday. And maybe make it just as unique as what they presented on Kickstarter. :)

I consider this top down Action Adventure to be like a hidden gem. It's short, and sweet. It has the kind of good vibes that make you want to carry in your pocket.

This recreation of a game, one of two games I played and enjoyed in my youth. You know how you go back to a place years after you've been there? When it came to playing the original, and playing the remake, that's exactly what it's like. Suffice to say that this is all that it's laid out to be. It's all arranged in ways that gives the series a few layers of complexity while it sacrifices other complicated parts of the world you explore. There's just the right level of puzzle solving that makes it enjoyable. Some puzzles require you to solve problems with math. Though that may be the case, I was hooked on it. It was well made, and overall, it's just as enjoyable as it was back then.

This post apocalyptic open world is something you can get lost in for hours. Combat starts out pretty easy. However, as you progress, the difficulty starts to rise. It's nice because it makes this action adventure more enjoyable.
The narrative on the other hand is the best part. For any action game, there's always voice acting, and then there's word boxes that require you to read. But in a majority of cut scenes, the narrator takes the spotlight as a means to interoperate the language of every sentient creature in this world.
Overall, this is a love letter to fans of T HQ's Action Adventure games from the past and it deserves to be recognized as a Triple A gem.

Early Access Review
This is a one of a kind Metroidvania that presents itself as a trip to Neverland. It holds its promise as a fun, enlightening fantasy action adventure. A lot of things have been done right when it comes to developing a platformer. Best part is the fact that you can swim underwater. It's something I've been looking for in a lot of action games.

Character customization is a fun perk this game has to offer. This is something worth keeping in the final product. I'd like to personalize the character I created with a set of armor for defense.

Overall, it's a great game. But it could be better if there were some slight changes.

First game with a new type of protagonist who switches from female to male. Great concept, and overall it's an excellent Metroidvania game.

Despite incompatibility with a controller and other flaws like BGM sync, This 5th gen gem holds up nicely. However, I do wish that this game would be updated to fix the issues the PC version has.

It's very fun to play solo, even though it gets very difficult in certain parts. However, it can be made easier playing co-op.

The narrative is good, with intensity that has a significant impact. You're put in a small open world, where platforming is a crucial way to explore. It is flawed in a way, but there's something that always makes up for it.

It's a nice game to try out, and play all the way through.
