Let's begin by stating the obvious: this game is really broken on release. There is absolutely no reason that this should've been shipped as a final product to fans and new players alike. There are a multitude of issues, only to list some that have been encountered:
- The game runs like a turtle roped stuck to a truck filled with boulders. I don't have the best gaming rig but it's supposed to be a stable experience. Creative Assembly, can you please remove Denuvo? I am sure this will do wonders.
- Stutters and freezes after clicking while an effect takes place.
- Freezes during seemingly random moments in time, such as in an in-game cut-scene or while several units fly away in-battle.
- Crashing at seemingly random moments where nothing takes place.
- Crashing every time you try to do something else on your computer (ALT + TAB).
- Sometimes the game freezes and then the meshes of rivers, characters and other objects turn into black boxes. Thereby forcing you to restart the game.
- Many graphical glitches including blurry textures, where you can't make out the detail of a character in the overworld.

Other people have had even more issues than me. But in my ten hours of playing I have crashed over ten times, that can really demotivate you from even trying because it almost feels like the developers didn't even try to test the game before shipping it to loyal fans and hyped, fresh customers.

Now onto the more positive side of this game release. I was really excited to play this game and it is blatant that the developers still put a lot of love into the newest features.

I've spent most of my time sacrificing blood for the blood god and collecting skulls for the skull throne (Khorne). I must say that the time that I have spent has been incredibly fun. The gameplay is relatively the same, with a lot of shake-ups at the same time. While it does feel like sometimes you have already played this game before if you are a fan, it does things to freshen up the formula by making it the most chaotic and rewarding experience yet. I admit the first three hours were very rough but when I understood how to play my faction using blood hosts and the skull throne , I obliterated most of my enemies in a couple of turns razing city after city until I had over ten armies running around. It is challenging and when it clicks, it feels like you are truly a genius war general. I assume the factions in this addition are a marvel to play around with from this experience. I also have to note that the graphics are splendid in battle, but the overworld needs another look.

TLDR:
I give this game a 6.5/10.

It is barely passable, there are way too many bugs and issues that hold it back from achieving its potential. The game is really fun, when you can play it. We can only hope game developers as well as publishers eventually learn from their mistakes not to release a game that isn't truly finished.

I will come back here to change this review if and when this game receives several much needed patches.

My computer specifications:

Hunt in its core is a relatively simple game, until you begin to inspect what's important to secure your victory. You traverse the map, collecting clues whilst fighting disgusting creatures along the way. In the end, you may fight either the spider or the butcher as of the current update. However when you become more experienced you begin to realize that these anomalies aren't the real threat, the real threat is your fellow hunter who is not only hunting monsters, he's also hunting you.

Pros:
- Beautiful graphics.
- Authentic wild west environment.
- Impressive gun design.
- Very strategic for a shooter.
- Sound is important and carefully placed.

Cons:
- The servers ruin any good experience to be had.

I love this game and the fundamentals thereof. The design of the environment, guns and hunters is remarkeable. Many situations were memorable, with one example in particular marking all the elements of this game:

- Sounds.
- Reactions.
- Visuals.
- Evidence.

I was hunting with my friend and our opponent was the butcher, but instead of fighting him we decided to hunt the players to grab an easy bounty. When we collected all the clues, we realized we were trailing behind the enemy. This is one of the elements: evidence. Opened doors, broken windows and dead creatures. All signs point that an enemy was at that location.

When we arrived at the butcher, we noticed crows flying from behind us, that could only mean one thing; a second team was coming. That was the reaction of a common enemy, which had then become our personal security guard warning us of unwelcome guests. We hid in a small cabin, waiting for an opportunity to strike whilst also allowing the enemy teams to pick on each other. We saw them, but they never saw us because we left behind no evidence, we did not make a sound to alert the hunters, we did not trigger the reaction of zombies and we hid in plain sight within a cabin.

Once the second enemy team opened fire we waited and let them think they won. After the banishment of the butcher, they realized through the dark sight that enemies were nearby. When they ran towards us, we shot through the wood, ending the life of one enemy. The other tried to kill us from the distance, but we decided to single him out. I ran and dodged the shots until he decided to reload, then suppressed his spot with rapid gunfire. During this, my friend ran from his other side to flank him, throwing in a dynamite; the enemy was left with no choice but to die.

As a team, we secure the bounty from our opponent's corpses and we leave on our own tempo. This is what makes the game beautiful, situations where you have to be smart, where you can only win when you think like a hunter. Sadly, the servers are unstable and lead to some unfortunate experiences, such as being forced out of a match out of nowhere when you've almost won. It does this several games in a row, ruining your mood and desire to play the game more. However, if this is fixed, it's a solid 8/10 for me and a 10/10 if there was more customization.

UPDATE: Servers have been fixed and customization has been updated, with more weapon options and variations, as well as female and male hunters with many more skins. It's a solid 9/10 from me. The only thing that could make it a 10/10 is more variations in monsters, perhaps even mini-bosses through the map.
