After nearly 100 hours in the game, I thought it woudl be a good time to review.

I have been playing this on a ROG Ally (sorry steamdeck) and it has been running perfectly even though on low settings. No stutter, so issues. So that has been a big pro over the summer while travelling.

The Youtube community is vibrant and active in buidls, tutorials and tips. There is a lot, and I mean A LOT, to learn in game but if you played Destiny or Warframe then much of it will be familiar. Without the guids and Youtubers, I would have struggled more than I have. Complex, yet enjoyable.

The coop incursions (big biss fights) are challenging and sometimes incredibly frustrating. That being said, channel your Souls mindset and level up, learn and win.

The grind is real, so if you don't like repetative missions, rinse and repeat quests and painfully evil drop rates at time, then avoid this game. However, there is somethign amazingly rewarding taking on a massive boss multiple times, never gettiong the righ drop and then saying "Okay, just one more run" and finally getting that illusive item...it's one fo the quintisential gaming experiences.

I would say that if you like to get sucked into a mediocre story, love the time lost while grinding drops, and hunting for that min maxed gear piece, then you shoudl try it out. Just give it a while and prepare to look up guides.

So, being a PC gamer for many years I think it is important to mention that not all games come out screaming perfect. The fixes and repairs are part of the birthing procedure. Nowadays there is even greater variation on our systems and it is virtually impossible for a game to work 100% on all rigs. That being said, I am trying to run NMS on a i7 Lenovo Yoga 2 with an Nvidia 980M and 8GB RAM. So I think I may be below recommended specs. I definitely have gnarly FPS issues and all that (hell, I was pushing 15 fps at the start). With some tweaks and updates it is getting better. Still, this is temporary while I travel. The real rig is at home and I know it will be lovely there,

What people need to realize is that this game is gorgeous. I love the idea and the pacing. I love spending time traveling, discovering, and finding new places. I think the loot ♥♥♥♥♥ in me is supremely satiated. I see this game geetting better and better as the devs and the community get more involved.

All in all I am extremely happy with the game, FPS issues aside. If you like the slower paced exploration and collecting style game, get this (with a grain of salt before the bugs get worked out). Be patient and be kind. This is a wonderful title and I think Hello Games deserves a thank you.

Looked like a unique and interesting game so I decided to pick it up one day. I was very impressed with the depth of engagement and really enjoyed the main feel of the game. Knowing my way around terminal a bit probably helped but I found that this game does a great job at making you feel as though you are in fact hacking through some systems. I think it is a great pick up for anyone interested in scratching the surface of more realistic hacks (less like what one thinks thorugh mass media).

Well done to the creator and team who worked this out. I recommend it for sure.

Only a few hours in so far but am just loving this game. Luckily I have a bit of a beast system and can play with high graphcs with minimum 60+ frames. The scenery is gorgeous and the gameplay is completely engaging. I love that you go from feeling like you can dominate a group to misery in a matter of seconds if a captain shows up. Easy to get swarmed and brings a feeling of panic. Great fun, even when you are getting mauled. The Nemesis system is pretty cool and I am looking forward to later game skills where you can manipulate the captains and warchiefs.

So far it is living up to the hype and I am just loving it.
