Stay away from this garbage A$$ game, don't buy it and most of all, DO NOT donate money to these people. The last major update broke a lot of things: game crashes, freezes, stutters, new achievements are bugged and also they screwed up some old ones. Hell, even the main menu and settings are broken. Also, a "tester" commented on forums that he didn't test everything. Oh really? Then you shouldn't work there, better go and plant trees in the woods or something... I believe this has something to do with the management at Monochrome and believe me, these guys really do have the bad live service mentality ("Release it now, fix things later..."). This happened for years... the game was good at launch, it died somewhere at the end of 2014, then they stopped releasing updates. This until 2019-2020 when they decided to resuscitate this "zombie" and of course, ended up breaking it. They say that they're "lacking of funding and resources" and yet they want to do Contagion 2, a new Zombie Panic! and more games. Don't worry, the "Support us on Patreon" and "Buy our Supporter DLC" ads are present in the main menu. If you really want money that bad, how about you stop screwing over your remaining playerbase and release a good product?

Don't support this behaviour and most of all, don't do their work (reporting bugs, glitches etc.) because you get nothing in return. Let them fix their s h i t...

They made this wreck of a game 5 dollars and 1 dollar each DLC just to get money from naive people who think that they're really giving us a "beautiful goodbye". If you really believe that, there's something wrong with you and I suggest that you should really see a doctor.

I bought this game few years ago (I knew that in 2020 they stopped supporting it with updates because license problems) and when I heard that it will be removed and no longer playable, I told myself: "Well, ok.. Let's see how faithfull it is to the Friday the 13th franchise, let's check the gameplay, let's unlock the achievements etc. For years it had a database error problem that never got fixed until now (Oh, I'll talk about that in a sec... don't worry). It really sucked because you had to get the game in Window mode, lower the resolution and shake your game window like 30 seconds to connect to the database almost EVERY time. This aside, the game DID work and I enjoyed playing it with some cool folks that helped me get most of the game's achievements. Then one day, I see that they wanted to give us everything in the game because they care about the community and they want us to have a memorable experience until this wreck closes. Guess what, they released this so called "update" and they indeed fix the database error crap but also, broke the game in some other form. Now we encounter lots of bugs and glitches that weren't present before. And as for the achievements, well... all the ones that have progress bars are screwed. It doesn't count anything we do. Also, a skull and two badges were missing so they f***ed this up too.

After all this I decided to contact the publisher Gun Media and the developer team (if there's something left of it LOL). Gun Media responded saying the following:

Thanks so much for reaching out to us about this.
With the game being in sunset and we are no longer creating patches or bug fixes. The game is currently in a state where we are minimizing database services, which can affect progress towards acheivements, it is something that can happen and will happen.
I will for sure forward this to the team, however since we are no longer in development this will not be updated or fixed.
If I have any additional questions, or steps for you to do, I will reach out to you directly.

Also another friend of mine sent them a message and they responded with this:

"I understand you’ve run into issues with achievement tracking and appreciate you reaching out to alert us.

Recent changes had to be made to lighten the dependence on database servers. These changes eliminate connection errors, prevent players from starting back at level 1 unexpectedly when reconnecting, and allows more functionality with less database requirements. With this, we found that some trophies/achievements will no longer be available.

I sent a second message telling them that they should fix this ASAP because it's really unfair what they did. Guess what... they didn't respond this time.

This is the spit in the face they gave to the entire community who supported their ♥♥♥♥ for years. It was even crowdfunded if I can remember correctly. All this fake generosity ♥♥♥♥ is because they wanted more money out of you while they simply don't care to fix anything and you know why? They're so incompetent that they can't even do "Hello, world!". Stop supporting these greedy ass scammers in the future. Their "games" aren't worth the effort. Go buy and play Dead by Daylight instead.

Runs like crap on 1080p resolution and High settings (Intel Core i7-7700K, GTX 1080, 16 GB RAM). Also let's not forget that it has tons of bugs and glitches, it feels like a Bethesda title. At it's current state I can't recommend it so please stay away! 8 years of development down the drain. Completely unacceptable... Refunded!

A Half-Life 2 Zombie mod (more like Counter-Strike: Source with zombies) that tries so hard to be like Left 4 Dead and it kinda fails to be honest. After you've played some older mods you expect way more from the new ones.

Pros:
- It can be fun with friends from time to time (especially on modded servers).
- It is playable with bots.
- It has official and original maps.
- There are 5 classes, 10 character skins and 3 weapon skins that you can choose from. Each class has a special ability.
- It uses Steam Workshop.

Cons:
- Bad hitbox.
- The zombie spawn points are god-awful and stupid. Some of them are spawning right behind you.
- The infected soldiers are way too powerful and strong that you have to shoot one (doesn't matter where) like 10 times with a shotgun in order to kill him.
- The melee system is a complete joke. You can punch one zombie at a time and for some reason you can't touch them sometimes.
- There are invisible walls everywhere. You simply can't jump or climb on anything.
- It gets repetitive and boring pretty fast (doesn't matter if you play objective mode or survival mode).
- You can't finish the survival mode on higher difficulties because you run out of ammo way too fast. Not to mention that you can only carry one single weapon.
- It has only 3 similar soundtracks (the main menu theme, the horde theme and the escape theme). Imagine hearing them over and over and over and over and over again.

FINAL VERDICT: 5/10
I would recommend trying this only if you and your friends wanna have some fun playing a zombie shooter for a short time or if you're an achievement hunter. Otherwise it's not worth it.

Unless you get a cheat to play this game you got no chance to win. Hackers and toxic players everywhere. Played like 20 CTF games and encountered at least 1 cheater in 15 matches. It has one of the worst matchmaking systems ever. I thought DOOM was bad at this but this is on a different level. I'm very disappointed in you id... another ♥♥♥♥♥♥ f2p game with lots of microtransactions. These guys really need to learn a lesson and add an anticheat for Christ's sake! The only good thing in this game is to practice with bots, it really helps you to become a better FPS-game player but that's all, sadly.

UPDATE:
The new progress system is a complete joke! I can't even play a 60 min custom game to level up during the winter event because in the end it gets disconnected for no f***ing reason. Not to mention the netcode problem that continues to give people headaches since this game was released. The developers clearly don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about improving the game and they treat Quake fans like pure crap. All they care about is money. I'm getting sick of all these garbage F2Ps nowadays. Stay away from this piece of crap... 2/10!
