This is the pinnacle Souls experience brought into the open world format. The atmosphere, the sheer volume of weapons and endless play styles and builds to mess around with. Staggering boss fights that will push players to their wits end reveals the greatest joy of this game-- the struggle. As corny as it sounds, the struggle and the eventual triumph over the games various and difficult bosses makes for one of my most treasured gaming experiences as this was my first souls game I stuck with and finished from start to end. Game of the Year and very much a timeless classic in the modern era. W + touch grace + ur maidenless

Beautiful game, smooth controls and combat. Charming visuals and compelling side characters (shout out to Bard the Bard) and the story evolves alongside the combat capabilities of the Hero. If you're looking for a solid metroidvania game that takes not too much time for the base game completion I would highly recommend this one. The post game is another 2 or 3 hours added on and the amount of exploration is vast for a game of this size.

I can't quit because I'm addicted to this dumb game, also the Hawkmoon is coming back.

This is a must have for any board game and digital board game lovers. The base game is very intuitive and the nature of how the main objective should be completed in various ways allows for more ways to keep playing... either trying to sabotage everyone else, defeating or embracing the darkness; it stays fresh and always wanting more. Highly reccomend playing with friends; as the random events can create fun banter.

Love the basis of this game. I glanced over the NBA JAM esque gameplay and was sold over just that. The big turning point for this game being good is soley in the story and your choices within, each choice feels like it has weight. I stopped playing the game for its (very) fun RPG/Sports blend and more for the story and where it led to. Another fresh game from the folks coming out of Supergiant.

The Soundtrack, characters, combat system, story, pacing of said story, and the humor... all converge into what seems to be the greatest indie game of this year.
