It's a good game. Don't get me wrong. I do recommend it, but I did have some difficulty casting my spells at the time I wanted to cast them, namely instant speed spells at the end of my opponent's turn. Opponents that you'll get matched against online will have purchased all the cards basically. Their decks will be unbeatable if you haven't also purchased or earned most or all of the cards. It is possible to get all the cards without spending any money though, and you can legit make your own deck exactly how you want it. The starter kit is pretty nice.

Really awesome game! Definitely recommended to sword-fighting enthusiasts.

You will definitely have some questions about how the gameplay works after watching the trailer, so allow me to explain. There are three stances to choose from. You must select your stances in real time by pressing the buttons '1', '2', and '3'. The stances are fast, balanced, and heavy. In the beginning, you'll have to figure out which stance you're most comfortable with, but as you play, you'll grow to gain experience in all three stances (experience as in "personal" experience. There's no "leveling up" or anything). My personal favorite style is a slow-paced reactive control style using balanced with sudden spurs of heavy every now and then. The strategy that usually beats me is a well-timed aggressive fast stance.

There are several different styles of swords you can use, and several different classes. If my math is correct, I believe there are 20 unique core loudouts, with a lot of customization imbetween (including Steam Workshop gear, which is very user-friendly and easy to use). I am currently using a lightsaber that I found in the Workshop. :)

This is very much a game of skill, and very much a PvP game. There is no storyline or campaign. There are a very small number of maps, but the maps are well-designed for 1v1 duels. In Free For All mode, this game becomes very relaxing and satisfying. It can either be a chatroom for you and your friends, or you can private duel people. Even though the room title is FFA, it's not really treated like an FFA in most situations. Everyone usually prefers the 1v1 fair fights, which is a primary feature of this game. In FFA mode, you can challenge anyone you see in the room, and if they respond affirmatively, then you get locked into a best 2 out of 3 duel where no one else in the room is able to interrupt. Since everyone else on the map becomes these ghost-like figures that can't interact with you, multiple duels can be happening in the same area of the map at once. These 1v1 duels are definitely the primary appeal to this kind of game, which is why players in FFA don't usually attack each other except if they're in a duel, but it is possible to do so.

While I don't have a lot of hours in this game yet, it is definitely one I can see myself spending a lot of time on. It's a game without storyline-commitment. You don't have to set aside a certain amount of time, or read up on what the best line of play is to take etc... zero commitment, 100% log in, relax, and kill time with some juicy sword-fighting goodness.

I only have a very small amount of gameplay, but I've been watching people live stream this game on twitch for some time now and I can say that without a doubt this is the most satisfying purchase I've made in the past 2 years and 4 months on November 11th, 2011 when I bought Skyrim. Seriously. Very worth it. Very, very, very worth it.

Don't watch south park? You'll still laugh the entire way through. You have to be a fan of crude humor though, I will say. Leave your virgin ears at home.

This is an extremely difficult arcade game. While I am recommending it, I am only recommending it to people who are fans of fast paced arcade games that really require you to focus intensely on your technique. There is only one thing you do in this game. You dodge. I promise you that it feels good when you win, and it will probably be weird at first. It's worth the price if you're looking to increase your hand-eye coordination as well as have a little fun.

This game is fantastic. It has everything you'd expect after playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and then some.

This game takes place a couple hundred years after Oblivion, and I really like how they've kept some characters from Oblivion in the history of Skyrim. When it comes down to it, this game is very immersive, and with modding support, I found myself modding more than I was actually playing. My goal was to make an astoundingly realistic game. Modding allowed me to kick up the graphics from Ultra at least four-fold, and in some areas of the game, up to sixteen-fold. You haven't felt true immersion until you play Skyrim modded to 16 times max graphics on a 40" TV. While playing in this manner might be going to the extreme, you don't have to go to the extreme to play Skyrim. I started on my 2010 HP Laptop with a crappy 2.2GHz i5 processor and Nvidia G150M graphics card. Yeah.. I got terrible FPS on minimum settings, but I was still enjoying the game immensely.

As for the gameplay without expansions, It's really not too bad. The big quest lines are the Main Quest, the Mage's Guild, the Companions, the Theives Guild, the Dark Brotherhood, the war between the empire and the stormcloaks, and more alongside countless sidequests, daedric quests, and several environments to explore; plenty of dragons to slay, dungeons to raid, items to craft, houses to buy, and skills to master. The game is definitely playable without expansions.

Dawnguard basically adds a new very large questline involving vampires, and lots of new enemies, loot, and unique rewards (worth it, in my opinion). Dragonborn is like Shivering Isles for Oblivion. It adds an entire new island to the game which includes another huge questline, a bunch of side quests, and of course new enemies, loot, and unique rewards (very worthwhile). Hearthfire allows you to make your own house. While I have Hearthfire, I don't much care for it, and don't recommend it. Some people like it though.
