Pretty short and very easy for what its supposed to be. Online is very dead. Only worth it at a deep discount

As someone who played since PC release on Rockstar launcher...
Subpar grindy and buggy online experience.
It's definitely my second favorite fishing simulator though.

Great example of a character action genre with unique spin on mechanics. Charming cast and visual style. Great soundtrack and suprisingly good voice acting. Absolutely explosive finale. Great replayability due to multiple difficulties reshuffling the enemy layouts and plethora of secrets and unlockables.
The few downsides are mainly learning curve related. Game doesnt tell you much and requires player to actively try and experiment to learn the utilities of weapons to learn and use their moveset to the fullest. Also classic Kamiya - sudden minigames overstaying their welcome.
But to sum it all up. One of the finest examples of the genre, my second favorite game of all time, and just as good, if not better than Wii U's original.

Surpsisingly, worked on my Win10 machine no problem.
The game has mostly stood the test of time.
Graphics despite being dated didnt loose their charm.
Whole game has a great atmosphere, with Prince and his companion adding a lot to it with nice banter and fun dialogue.
Soundtrack is unusual and rather memorable, battle themes doing their best to carry me through boring fights.
Platforming has a good flow to it and animations still feel fluid and with weight behind them, traversing the areas and doing acrobatic puzzles is probably one of the best part of the game, but its not without problems. Some small control hiccups and at times awkward camera can make you plummet to your death. thats where Time Rewind comes in, but as in later part of the game you loose that ability, these faults start to become really obvious.
Another mostly unenjoyable part is the combat. Its pretty basic, fights outstay their welcome with enemies who just won't stop spawning and the game doesnt really add anything new to your arsenal to make it any more varied or fun.
Overall an enjoyable experience. Still worth it I'd say

Deceptive trailers would make you believe you are in for a high energy cinematic retelling of Dragon Ball Z, something CyberConnect2 usually excells at. But this is not what you are in for.
Gameplay is pretty monotonous and shallow. Every fight feels the same. You wail on enemies who a lot of times dont even react to your attacks, which coupled with gigantic healthbars makes every fight outstay its welcome. Most of the story consists of you just going from fight to a fight, with cutscenes inbetween. Only a small part of cutscenes gets the usual CC2 treatment, the ones you see in trailers. The rest of them are barely animated with characters standing around and talking while their mouths dont even move half the time. Sometimes you cant even skip the dialogue lines, making you watch idly standing characters spouting lines you heard a million times before but worse and with bad sound design. Its so bad at times that I'd rather get to more of game's boring combat just to get away from the coma inducing dialogue sections.
Side activities are also absolutely one note. I dont know why they made big deal out of cooking and fishing, Cooking is just getting stat buffs from gathering ingredients, and fishing gets old on a third try, being so barebones and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'd rather fish in animal crossing. The only thing which isnt extremely below par is moving around in open world.
As a retelling of Z this game is an absolute failure. Too boring to watch, too boring to play. For your fanservice needs you are better off just rewatching the anime, reading the manga, or playing FighterZ.
