As someone who had never played the original Dota for Warcraft 3 and had only played League of Legends prior to the release of Dota 2, I can safely say it's worth the switch.

The game was a little daunting at first to get learn but Valve offer plenty of ways to learn, such as their tutorial system or bot match, even better now they added the in-game user guide menu which makes everything so much easier.

There is a huge selection of heroes to pick from, each unique and fun to play including roles I wouldn't normally touch such as support, I honestly don't mind it in this game because it's fun.

Every aspect of this game seems to be done really well, and it doesn't seem like Valve is stopping on the updates anytime soon.

The only negative thing I can say about this game is the community, but theses days if you play online you can expect that in any game.
