The character movement in this game is the interesting and weird part - and it is very smooth and amazing. I'm looking forward to the full game.

With this game, I had way more fun than expected.

It is a casual game with a simple but engaging and fun mechanic. The different mages and different upgrades provide different solutions and keep the game interesting. The challenge never feels unfair, and the progression feels good.

I considered the soundtrack a bit annoying at the beginning, but I did enjoy it more and more the more I played. Actually, I think it's pretty cool.

The price is really low, and with sales it becomes ridiculously low.

Just buy it and have fun!

A slow but intense game with a very unique way to tell a captivating story.

This game is an amazing mix of tower defense, hero defense and economy management. Its art style is minimalist but expedient and beautiful. Thumbs up for a great game.

This game is complex to review. I contains so many good things and it contains to many bad things. I am having so much fun with some activities and I am so annoyed with other activities. The visual look of this game is absolutely stunning and then some non-player characters go bonkers and glitch around and instantly kill my immersion. Some writing is brilliant and some writing is boring. Some quests are long and intricate and enjoyable and some quests are brain-dead time-wasters. Sometimes I am completely shaken by a whole bunch of emotions based on events in the game and sometimes I am so annoyed by required tasks that I don't even start the game. As you can see I am really torn between so many feelings about this game.

The good news is that this game is soooo huge and has soooo many features that I, with my limited spare time, can simply do the activities I enjoy and simply ignore the activities I consider boring. Because of that I am giving this game my "thumbs up" for this review.

P.S.: I received this game for free as a bonus after I bought a graphics card from AMD.

I played HELLCARD: Prologue in single-player mode and I think it is a good game. But it is not my type of game, because neither rogue-likes nor deck-builders are my favorites. But for everybody liking those types of games I can probably recommend HELLCARD. I'm giving my "thumbs up" for this game.

On the other hand the art style of this game is truly unique and absolutely gorgeous.

In this game I (and only I) am the boss and I can hire risk-loving adventurers, who I then can send into deep dungeons to fight dangerous monsters and bring home huge piles of loot. That loot will be sorted by me (and only me) and I might cherry-pick some weapons or armors to outfit my oh-so-brave adventurers to increase their chances for survival. But all the remaining loot (plenty of loot actually) will be sold by me (and only me) in my shiny shop, for varying prices in an ever-changing market, to maximize my (and only my) profits. Sounds good? Definitely is. Nice game. Can even be played on Steam Deck.

I really like this game. It looks good, it sounds good and mostly importantly it plays good.

It starts simple, basically as a twin stick shooter, but with the skills and the unlocks and the progression it gets a lot more interesting and complex: Before the fight you can select different runes and weapons and during the fight you can select between different skills. With a bit of luck you complete "your super duper killer combo" and wreak havoc among the monsters.

Another feature I really enjoy is that single rounds of fights are winnable and last only a limited time, mostly somewhere between 8 and 15 minutes. After a successful round, you can decide whether play another round or go back to the main menu, either to start another fight with a different setup or call it a day

Lastly, I want to mention that it plays great on Steam Deck.
