Of the 2 hours I spent attempting to play, I connected to one game and promptly got disconnected. Those few minutes were kinda fun but oh well.

An amazing, ambitious game. Best 8 dollars I ever spent.

Amazing Deck building and tactical combat. The Abbey relationship building portion ala Fire Emblem is meh, but playing video games with Blade is funny and you can skip every cut scene and dialog if you want to. Most voice acting is bad but there are some stand out performances like Laura Bailey as Magik, so you can just spend all your time talking to her.

Bad launch, long broken queues, lots of lag.

Once you are able to play (outside the tutorial Haven), you will find an exceedingly empty sandbox world. There are cities, some large or small and the designs are pretty neat, but the world is mostly empty. You can walk for a long time without seeing anything at all including resources and mobs to fight.

Combat is directional based swinging and blocking, bows and some very limited magic. Feels like Kingdom Come in melee. Magic is a mess and really needs a rework. There are only currently 2 Magic Schools out of the planned 12 or so. Movement is super slow unless you build for foot speed. There are horses to tame and some mounted combat.

Open PvP combat and full loot means anyone can and will attack you for your loot. If you play alone you will find yourself killed and camped a lot, losing valuable resources and time. Some cities have guards and are effectively safe spaces. Some cities do not have guards. You are far better off playing with friends or joining a guild. There is no "grouping" system.
PvE is killing zombies that spawn in city graveyards, camps of bandits/orcs out in the world, some open world dungeons and a selection of wild life (pigs, bear, deer..).

Crafting is a confusing mess and very shallow but necessary for armor/weapons. AFAIK there is no other source for armor and weapons.

Development has been very slow but the developers seem active with the community. However they also promise the world in regards to "upcoming features".

With the addition of a subscription cost I would not recommend this game. It's just not worth it, but could be in the (far) future.
