I actually voted this game for the game of the year :D

I started to play it with my girlfriend when searching for coop games. We had much fun. I play more than she and it's a very friendly single-player game also.

This is not only a simulator, this is one of the most fun simulators I ever played on STEAM, it's not hard, it's fun, and free to play.

If you are looking for a chill and fun game to play with friends you should try this one.

This game has a lot of potencial.

Positive things I think about it for what I've played:
- racing in Japan like the 90's with JDM cars
- it gives a nostalgic feel (Like if you were playing NFSU2)
- the theme in general
- graphics don't need to be better (not everyone has high end PC's), the graphics are pretty cool :)

Negative:
- only have 1 car to test the game (it's normal since it's a demo)
- map could be more well designed (the fast roads are nice) but I think there is a lack of a city and maybe mountains to drift.
- DRIFT (Japan night racers + 90 JDM's ) it's crucial to have drift.
- no online (until today)

Besides all this the feeling of the high speed is also amazing. I would give a try to a full version of this game.
This has the potencial to be a great game, a game that fans of the genre are long awaiting.

I do recommend this game but...
I never pay full price for new games from big companies like EA, Ubisoft, etc. They recycle to much the games and they seem unfinished or lazy made.
About this game, whoever like the first Mirror's Edge will like this one, but they are different, starting in the game engine.
While the first game was linear, this one has a small open world to explore wich was missing in the first game.
-The graphics are amazing but a bit bugged (my PC is also only medium tier).
-The gameplay is cool but it feels like there is missing something from the first game.
-The story is a bit poor, its not a sequel but its not a prequel. Its the same character but in different stories (like comic books). Maybe we can call it a reboot ? As a Mirror's edge 1 fan I would like to see sequels or prequels to the first story. Also the characters from the 1st game are more interesting than in this game.
- The open world gives us a chance to explore the city, this is an advantage to the first game. Now we have colectibles its a good game to free roam or make challenges.
- The game follows the soundtrack from the first, wich is one of my favourite parts of the game, the idea of putting psybient in this kind of game is amazing. Psybient helps the player feeling the game in a way we cant in other games. Chill.

-final review: i recommend this game at the lowest price you can. You can spend hundreds of hours in this game and its pretty calm and chilling. 7.5/10

I have been a big fan of Need for Speed since a lot of time, when this last trilogy happened I didnt like it because the gameplay is weak and there is lack of a cool career.
For me the Frostbite Engine dont work with NFS, the drift is like a mobile game, this game allows to drift FWD's cars.
I bought this game for 3€ and I definitively reccomend with that price.
I know that the next NFS will come out soon, but i would recommend to EA to use Codemasters Team to make a open world racing game. In that way NFS would beat forza.
