A decidedly retro but charming experience. If you can't stomach Japanese-style, Wizardry-inspired Dungeon Crawlers, this one is not going to change your mind about the genre. For the others, though, it's a brilliantly designed game, with a really good map design, challenging systems to work with and satisfying team-building mechanics.
The story leaves a little to be desired, even for a game of this genre, but this comes with the territory of being a Dating Sim silly spin-off. It does get a bit heavy-handed with fanservice at times, but not to the point where it would impede on the quality of the gameplay if you're not into that (alternatively, if you ARE into this kind of stuff, there's probably not enough of it to be a selling point either).
Note that it does require a significant investment to get to enjoy everything the game has to offer, as the "first ending" you'll reach after 25 - 30 hours is really nothing else but the game congratulating you for recruiting all the characters and represent probably less than 30% of the content. The game is chokeful of "late game" content and it will probably take you a hundred hours or more if you really want to get to the bottom of it, even with guides.

With that said, if you have a Dungeon-Crawling itch and want something that measures up to the classics such as Etrian Odyssey, I'd definitely recommend Dungeon Travelers.

Extremely good Vampire Survivors clone. Pretty much outdo the original on almost all aspects.
Don't get fooled by the relatively easy first level, things get much better and challenging afterwards.
Updates do take a bit of time to come out, but there are definitely enough collectables to keep you busy for a while.
Even once you're done with all the content outside of the really grindy stuff, challenging high scores on the ladder is really fun (though I'd like the scoring system to be a bit less cryptic).
Pretty crazy that it's free, too.

I should mention that all that praise come from someone with zero interest in Vtubers.
That Roboco girl pretty cute though.

Well, obviously, I'm only typing this because of that silly Christmas badge thingy.
And now for that autumn stuff, 2 years later.

But still. Definitely one of the best WRPG around, one that made me like the genre with VtmB. Incredible writing, very good worldbuilding. This game puts F3 to shame in terms of basically everything that isn't "just wandering around". Shows a lot of potential open-world games can have when you actually put some effort in it, not just make it a huge sandbox filled with almost identical draugr-infested dungeons.
