As long time MH fan, I would not recommend Wilds in its current state due to the poor optimization and multiple bugs plaguing the game.

I have a 3080 and am getting 60-100 frames settings medium/high with no frame generation, but I know others with better rigs than me who don't even get that. Sometimes textures scale down to ps2 quality (especially in oil well basin) when a lot is going on on-screen, and I personally had a game-breaking bug where my first save file got corrupted 12 hours in and I had to restart all of LR.

Other than that, the game is extremely fun and a great addition to the series. A lot of streamlining has been done to make the new player experience better. The game definitely feels a lot easier than previous titles but I expect that to change with the title updates.

I will update this review once the performance issues are fixed- they are the main thing holding this game down.
