I used to play this game a lot, and through the years I've come back here and there to see what is going on, what is new, etc. Back in 2012 I wrote the following:

"This game is so much fun, running around with friends, customizing your knight with different shields, armors, helms, guns, bombs and swords. I'm never bored with this game. With the brand new mission system and the competitive PvP. I highly recommend this game!"

And, to be fair, I had a fantastic time playing. I have friends today that I met from this game and still talk to.

That review was true at the time. A few years later, and today, I can tell you that I got bored with it. The gear is fun, the game play is fun, and and its neat to dress up your knight. However the major issue this game has faced over the years that has not seemed to improve or change is the priorities of the developers. The game has in game purchases for cosmetics, which is entirely acceptable to me up to and until it becomes the solitary focus.

The game has failed to release any additional game content or story. A few small missions maybe, but hardly anything to warrant it's original player base to return to the game. It was fun to design outfits for your knights, but that can only sustain a player for so long.

My friends and I eventually quit playing the game after running through the clockworks many, many times, playing through all the content, and realizing there was nothing new to do.

This game has an unbelievable charm to it that I have yet to find elsewhere, I love the weapons, the tricks to clearing levels, the challenge of the bosses. I sunk 500+ hours into this game, it was everything to me and it still holds a place in my heart. But even with all of that adoration, I have begun to feel this despair whenever I see a new "Update" to the game. I get excited, scroll through the text, searching, hoping, for something to bring me back to the game. And each time, I scroll past the cosmetics, the prize boxes available this time, and I feel the excitement drain out of me. Nothing new. No reason to come back.



TL;DR The game is fun, but the devs only release loot boxes of cosmetic items, not any more actual game to play.
