Actually, this is probably my favourite NFS out there, and honestly I had hundreds of hours put into this game when it was out on PS3. I honestly didn't mind the driving style/handling, it was a little unresponsive but that was the charm that this game had. The single player experience isn't bad either, you work your way up the Most Wanted list and take them down one by one, and you get progressively faster and get nicer cars.

tl;dr - Multiplayer is jank for some reason and I hope it gets fixed, it was the main thing for me about this game back in the PS3 era. Would love to give it a "yes" recommendation but single player isn't enough of the main experience for me.

Now that it's on Steam now though, my experience isn't the same as it was back then.

- Multiplayer: My hundreds of hours on this game from the PS3 was based on online multiplayer. The introduction of Speedlists was amazing and being competitive in everything was a really fun experience. Now for some reason, online multiplayer seems... jank??? I see a whole lotta cars gliding or flying around often, and races or events in speedlists just finish up way too quickly, as if I'm behind or something. I cannot tell if it's just me being in Australia, my connection, or just perhaps straight up cheating (as it's on PC now, I wouldn't expect no cheating to happen on PC games, especially older ones now). The lack of online players is actually a little surprising, but it's understandable due to how old this game is. I do hope this gets fixed, either from my own ways or if EA happens to fix something with their servers, I'm not sure.

- UI: Honestly this is very minor, but I've always been annoyed on how long things just stay on screen, as well as removing literally all the other UI on screen. I wanna see the map while I'm browsing EasyDrive! Honestly just being able to see the map at the least would be nicer since entering multiplayer and not knowing where to go for like 20 seconds is a bit annoying.

Overall, I want to say that this game isn't bad. I think the whole charm about this game that stood out to me was how new the system was in multiplayer. Speedlists and whatnot were a great new addition and (as far as I know) being the first NFS game to introduce Speedlists like that was a really nice choice. Until the multiplayer experience somehow gets fixed, I'll have to give this game a "no" recommendation.
