This is the game I dream of making.

I've been playing since early access release and each update is a story on its own. I've been inclined to beg, borrow and steal this game 1000 times over and then tell anyone about the game who would listen. I am more than honored however to give my money and have convinced others to do the same.

The best way to describe the game is competitive 2d zelda, where monsters and traps have never been more devious. Never have I felt more like a fiercely hateful of life spectre than in this game. This game's driving principle is that there is no rest for the wicked. Every monster is entertaining in their own right and you will learn your preferred paths and monster tiers.

Playing the "Guy" is a treat in its own because of the game's absolutely sublime controls and execution. Strutting into a virgin store after styling and stomping asses to stack up on discount charms, stat boosting potions and then just to vacuum up anything that looks like it could be useful to someone else after you inevitably die is the prize for any would be hero on a new floor. There's always an evolving meta to each game because each player is distinct. Are you getting zoned out by web, acid, ice or slimes who consistently spawn in under the cover of a hungry trap? Get a ranged weapon or spell. Eating a lot of poison and fire and seriously regretting it? Cover your ass with as many floating magical shields as you can and buy all the status effect countering rings. Stack levels and equipment until you are a juggernaut then rip and tear.

The game is a salt mine that has generated heated debate into 4AM, broken senses of identity and simply exhausted others who didn't have the wherewithal to maintain the sinister Samsara to the end of the game. I could recount each very real instance with all of the exciting elements of Greek tragedy like rage, revenge and fratricide.

Best with 3-4 players. 3 players is savage and personal; 4 players is unremitting chaos.

Praise Glub.
