First off, thank you to the developer for sending me a code to try this game out! I didn't know what to expect, even with some reviews comparing it to League of Legends, FTL, and Binding of Isaac. I can see why they may compare it to those, however I see it also as it's own entity. And a rogue-like so definitely after my own heart.

This is a rogue-like game akin to Binding of Isaac in which you can earn gold and then spend it on upgrades. However, at death you must start all over. I also like the darkness that moves forward forcing you to keep on going towards the boss, no matter what like in FTL.


The Good:
The art style. I enjoyed the narrator, the poetry and rhyming.
There weren't any frame drop issues.
It was quite intuitive to learn the controls and skills.
The UI isn't invasive or covering large portions of the screen.
The game offers diverse gameplay. Choose your race with set stats however the aiblities are random. And some synergize very well.
The integration of who is livestreaming is really neat as well!

Some things that could use improvement
Skill balancing. I think the skills need to be re-evaluated for balancing.
For example: I found that the summon a squire option to be far superior to any other skill.
1. You can summon so many minions. And a really short cool down for that power.
Some of the items were confusing because the words are different: The overworld item is called the Spy Glass and the item that boosts it's radius refers to it as the Looking Glass. Might confuse some.
