There's also Amy's wholesome outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterization- her personal philosophy draws heavily from Sandra Harding's literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these scenes, to realise that they're not just uplifting- they say something deep about FEMINISM. As a consequence people who dislike Cuties truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the independence in Amy's existential dance move "Lift up my shirt and show you my chest," which itself is a cryptic reference to Sandra Harding's epic Objectivity and Diversity. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those --
