meh... i don't see the appeal. got 3 hours out of this at some LAN parties as a time killer. doubt i'll ever play again.

This thing is alright. I'm going to have to admit that I regret spending my money on it though. I think you can do better by just watching people play this game than play it yourself. It's really more of a simulator for crashing cars than a game. It comes with a few pre-made scenarios for you to do which save you some setup work.. but I don't think you can get your moneys worth here without spending a good amount of hours figuring out the interface and how to edit the maps/placement of vehicles, camera controls, etc.

For me it's a thumbs down, but if you're super into the idea of smashing cars with insane physics and spending hours figuring out the interface and tinkering with scenarios, go for it. Kind of wish I could give it a sideways thumb. It's just not for me.

I'm not looking up spoilers. Ramps up slowly at first - give it a few minutes, it sucked me in pretty quickly after a few jaunts into space. If you're into new concepts, indie games, space or time travel, exploration, etc... this is a winner. It's kind of like the polar opposite of No Man's Sky. It's like if No Man's Sky was actually an interesting space exploration game, but only has a single solar system to explore instead of "infinity" ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring copy & pasted ones. Super cool innovative concept and probably a good amount of hours if you don't look up spoilers judging by my first 3 hours.

EDIT: This game just kind of proves the point that well made artisan content, hand-crafted with love and care, can really shine in a market saturated where almost everything is now procedural generated. Procedural is cool and all, it's cheap- and the randomness can be fun sometimes... but it really can never top the density of content in a well made hand-crafted environment.

New player review: Fun with friends. Nothing super special here. But, it has an active enough playerbase to yield an overall positive first 15 hours of gameplay. If it was a smaller download (like ... 5 GB or less) it would be a solid unconditional recommendation. But as-is (I think the DL was close to 20 GB) which makes me say closer to 50/50. Definitely pass if you're playing solo, medium recommend if you're playing with friends. Game requires team coordination to be successful. Wish there was more depth to the character designs. Some are really cool and satisfying to play, others are super basic and boring, and there doesn't seem to be a correlation between character skill cap and strength.

Very unique game, overall pretty hilarious concept and somewhat therapeutic gameplay. Something oddly satisfying about stacking crates and mopping floors after hours. Not sure I'll ever play through all the maps but I had fun on the ones I did. Definite recommend especially when on sale. Works fine as a solo game but probably makes for hilarious coop experience with the right people.

I bought it for the split screen steam link gameplay and was not disappointed at the debauchery that ensued.

This game was really fun. I got 15 solid hours out of it. I'm sure you could potentially get dozens more or even hundreds of hours if you really liked this game but for me it eventually dried up a bit. Still a definite recommend to anyone who likes a mix of base building and tower defense gameplay.

I got to the timekeeper guy, tried killing him a few times, got bored, never went back. Can't really recommend this unless on super sale. The game is smooth and fairly clean but ultimately it's just bullet hell cookie cutter dark souls knockoff with actually a pretty cool art style. If the combat had more depth/strategy maybe it would make for a really good game. You basically just have to memorize the timings and practice hitting your blocks and attacks frame perfect and you'll win. Big 'meh' from me.

yeah, after one play session i can say i got my $12 worth. can't say that about all games these days, this one for i certainly can. satisfying gameplay with a loot/progression system that doesn't get in your way. good times with friends. nice one-

Very well done remastered version of the original. Runs smooth no bugs or glitches yet, audiovisuals are perfect. Haven't played this game since my original xbox was retired probably 15 years ago, it's one of those totally underrated classics. Next up... Raze's Hell? Bloodwake?
