The new menu blows gigantic wiener, i can barely navigate the Call of Duty menu without getting an aneurysm, but this is somehow worse. Also, for whatever reason, my 1.35 KDA went down to 1.02 over the update. I have no idea how this could have happened or what they did to alter stats, but something went wrong for sure. And for god's sake 75 hunter slots? I could barely use all 12 we used to have. At this point, I think its just an excuse to get people to pay blood bonds for completion.

Update: My KDA is back to what it was preupdate, but the menu opinion stays the same

Let me start by saying, if I bought this game for $40, I would have been more pissed.

First and foremost, if you plan on getting this game, the VR aspect is cool, but you HAVE to have a steering wheel setup first, and that's IF you can get it to work. I've seen a ton of reviews with people saying it doesn't register pedals to the entire steering wheel. I don't have a driving setup, but I do have VR and a controller. I could have used a keyboard, but If i have the headset on, I can't see my controls, so the controller was picked up and I began to play. Ran into problems IMMEDIATELY, as the game doesn't come with setup controller buttons bound, so I had to manually bind them myself. And don't even think about binding anything to the joysticks, the game registers that they are bound, but refuses to acknowledge them being used. They are also unclear as to what does what for the controls. For example, I bound my left trigger to brake and ONLY to brake, BUT what it doesn't tell you is that brake is the same input for reverse, it says there is an input for putting it in reverse, so I assumed I would have to put it in reverse and press "throttle" (which was my right trigger). That was not the case and I spent 15 minutes messing about with the reverse gear for it to just move forward instead. Granted, I had auto gear shift on, but let's be honest, I'm not about to learn how to drive a manual for this game.

The next problems I faced were with the responsiveness of the cars themselves. All of them are too slidy and you have little to no control over the steering. Once again, this would probably be remedied by an actual driving setup, but I don't play racing games often enough to warrant one. As mentioned before, I couldn't use my joysticks, so I used my D-Pad for the steering, and let me say, there is no urgency in the turning of the wheel for when you use a controller. You know when you take a sharp turn IRL and you go hand over hand to make it, NOT HERE, NOPE. the mf has his hands at 9 and 3 and refuses to take his hands off the wheel, it actually showed one of his hands between the legs of the driver and it wouldn't turn past that point, I think a 30 degree angle was the best i was going to get for turning. You know what an awful turning radius does to you, it puts you off the track and into grass. "Ok," I hear you say, "that's no problem, you can just turn out of it and be fine." Oh, you'd think that right? But sadly, no, its not so simple. You get even 1 wheel in the grass, you're spinning out of control like you just drove into an oil slick. ANY amount of throttle and you just keep drifting in the grass like you're writing cursive with your car. This kind of thing also happens on the road sometimes too, but not nearly as bad. And no, it had nothing to do with the car i was driving, I tried 3 different cars and they all came back with the same results, I tried different tracks, all of them with sunny weather, every single test was disappointing.

Which brings me to one last thing, and it is very similar to the last 2 points, you brake horrendously slowly, like to the point where I'm almost sure it wasn't even trying to brake most of the time. Sometimes I would brake well before a turn so I could take it super slowly, only for me to overshoot the turn by 100 ft and end up in the GRASS, BY GOD WHY IS THERE SO MUCH GRASS. I looked through all the tracks I had available to me and not a SINGLE ONE was simple like the Nascar track or Mario Cart Baby Park. If you wanted to chill and play a track, it had to be intricate and full of grass obstacles. Ok, so i guess this paragraph is more about the problems with grass again, but you get my point.

You may call me a bad driver, but my record is clean and I was a Burnout Revenge prodigy on the Xbox 360. Overall, I think you've have a better driving experience on Fast & Furious Showdown for the Nintendo 2DS. Don't buy this for full price, G 2 A.com is selling it for like $10 if you REALLY want it.

This is the worst VR experience I've ever had, and it didn't even give me motion sickness. First and foremost, when you load into the game in VR, you have to confirm IN VR that you want to play that version. But that's not the worst part of the menu, because its BEHIND you and 10 ft in the air, so close, you can barely read the screen, yes that's right SCREEN. After you're through the initial menu, you play the tutorial by choice. Good, it has a tutorial, maybe the most useless one though. It taught me how to walk, shoot, throw, punch and choke people out. It didn't teach me how to use the ONE ability required to know where your target is. I had to figure it out in game, and it doesn't highlight people, just places a marker above your targets head and nothing else. Keep in mind it didn't tell me how to sprint, yes that's right, THE MOST BASIC MECHANIC, I tried in game by clicking my joystick, double tapping walking, using both my controllers. Nothing worked, maybe its like Blade and Sorcery, but I'm not willing to go and find out.

And that was just the tutorial, some things I noticed about the game while in it were as follows. Your skin clips through your clothes often, your hands are not sync'd to your controllers, instead the wrists are, so you are constantly Slenderman with your reaching, aiming is bad, you don't reload on your own, the game puts an animation for you, if you're using a play area for VR, it doesn't matter because your body stays in the center of it, yes that's right, your torso stretches to meet your head and your body stays in the center of the room. The game starts you with probably the worst VR settings known to man, which you can fix, but only so many of them. When you are using a sniper scope of any kind, instead of you looking through the weapon's scope, a screen, yes that's correct a SCREEN appears in the top left of your view and shows you what your scope sees, if you look away from the gun towards the screen the view disappears, so you can't focus on it and concentrate on what you're looking at. The guns handle horribly, to the point where I was trying a mission and just started punching guards because it worked better. When you are choking someone out from behind whether it be from your hands or a wire, you can completely ♥♥♥♥ around with their upper torso because their lower body doesn't move, so you can just break their back in half while you are choking them.

If I didn't get the VR access free with the main game, I would have been more pissed. But, all I can say is that If you're looking to get Hitman for VR games, kinda like how I did, you are barking up the wrong tree.

Early Access Review
I love this game very much. I switched to this game from Tabletop Simulator for DND and i have not been happier with my online experience. The heroforge support is much easier to apply than in other titles, and the amount of different tiles and walls really help build what you want. It being early access and everything limits its settings a little bit, but that is sure to change. You can change to boards without the other players seeing them at the same time as you. And the overall light settings are great to use.

I did have some suggestions for the game, however. I think the usage of spotlights would be useful for setting certain scenes like maybe a cave with a light to the surface or a prison break sequence and the players are in a literal spotlight. The other one would be to be able to add more than one ambient sounds, having fire sounds only is a bit strange if you want to set a different tone like a campfire in a windy field. That's just one example for that, but something like outside rain ambiance with interior tavern ambiance would be good one as well. Of course not as an actual combination but these two could be separate and used at the same time.

Other than that, the game runs phenomenally for me, it has crashed a couple times, but progress on boards is saved automatically so nothing is ever lost. Love this game, I'd recommend it for DND players that are limited by time, money or location. Perfect for cross-country play.

Being a Halo fan since 2005, this game hurts me to see. I was excited to play the multiplayer, the campaign, the maybe firefight/forge, see new assassinations, see how the new weapons play, all the good stuff. Unfortunately I think the game does more wrong than right in all these regards. Let's start with the core of any Halo game, the campaign.

The design of Master Chief is fantastic and I love the concepts they used for this armor. The bosses have nice designs as well, although some of them talk too much to be funny and just plain annoying. I feel they provide no real reason to exist to be honest, they are just small roadblocks that fail to have any real significance. The side bosses you can do are there just to give you more weapons to use in your fight, and I'm fine with that, they are unimportant for a reason. The open world aspect is interesting, but it still feels linear, the open world doesn't add anything, in fact, it kind of takes away from the experience, because its a mix of open world and linear. You can't replay missions in case you really like it, and if you missed something early on, you have to restart to get it. There are a lot of laggy spots when loading areas and when you compare it to last gen's Spider-man on the PS4, its very disappointing to see, especially on a high end PC. The collectables in the game are not my cup of tea, almost none of them are worth getting and there are two stances that say you get them from the campaign but after 100% in the game on legendary, I don't think its possible to receive them without LASOing the game, which is not worth it in the slightest. The story touches on things that I am not entirely sure fits with the rest of the series and the ending is... let's just say... interesting for the sake of brevity, not a fan. And at the end of the credits is a cutscene that is totally disappointing to watch and it made me groan very audibly due to how kind of "♥♥♥♥ you" it is, and btw you cannot skip the credits despite the skip button present.

Moving on to Customization, not multiplayer just yet, but I will touch on it later. Probably the worst in the series besides Halo 2 or CE, but even those games let you choose your colors however you wanted. Like seriously, I don't know what went through their heads when they though of "Reach like customization" and then they make the most restricting system possible. The battlepass system is fine... if they did it like MCC and did not leave it to a time based thing, people not playing now may never get the Mark V core or the Tenrai event armor, but let's be honest they will still pull this out in every other season because they can't make more content. You can't have helmets with multiple attachments, if I want my gungnir helmet to have the big funny face part and a flashlight attachment on the side, I'm ♥♥♥♥ out of luck because I can have one or the other, and no one wants to see under that face part. Most of the good armor pieces are locked behind paywalls that are only available when they are in the shop, imagine how bad this system is when they fill it with small insignificant pieces like visor colors or weapon skins when all you want is that one piece that hasn't shown up for months. At the time of this review there has been one armor set added to the Mark V core, HAZOP, which is not one of my favorites to be sure, some people like it, but how about the security set, what about a Mark V A helmet for it, or maybe a different armor effect like all the ones in Reach? Most of the armor sets that you can apply like templates leave much to be desired as most of the armor in these sets cannot be acquired on their own yet, if ever, plus for the Mark VII core, all the templates are now is for esports teams, who have better color combos that what normal players have. It's like they favor people that play competitively more than their casual fanbase, which brings me to multiplayer.

I have no comment for the Ranked scene as I dare not partake in more sweat that is in Quick Play, even though I'm sure most people that play Ranked are worse than people in Quick Play due to the amount of tryhard in a Team Slayer match. The main issue I see with most FPS games is the rewards system, you get rewarded for playing good, makes sense, BUT that causes players to try playing a little too good, which takes the fun out for them AND the enemy team. Gunplay is terrible for most weapons, the Ravager is worthless, mangler is in its own league for melee combat, skewer is inconsistent, sniper is the sniper, BR is BR, assault rifle is either really good or really bad it depends, sidekick, just bring back the old one, commando is the worst weapon I've ever used besides the SMR in Black Ops 2, needler could be fixed with hit reg, shock weapons took the place of good plasma weapons with vehicle disabling, plasma pistol is unreliable, plasma carbine's tracking is worthless at anything farther than close range, stalker rifle is either really good or really bad, hydra is in a weird middle ground too, SPNKR is SPNKR but the damage is very inconsistent with blast radius, and the shotgun is downright sad, hardlight weapons hold a weird place as well, heatwave's ricochet is cool, but worthless, sentinel beam is ok and the cindershot is just as inconsistent as the SPNKR, to call them forerunner does Halo 4's variants injustice. Power ups and equipment are alright, i hardly see them make much of a difference in turning tides of matches anymore. Grenades and other throwables are constantly spammed due to there being no friendly fire(besides splatters). Bottom line is, they made all these new weapons when they had a whole arsenal of other guns to use from previous games, we haven't had fire/incendiary tools since Halo 3/ODST, we could've had the grenades and the flamethrower, something fun to use. No spartan laser to speak of, no beam rifle, no focus rifle, no grenade launcher, no covenant carbine, no plasma rifle, no REAL shotgun, no dmr, no smg, no brute shot since Halo 3, no spiker, no mauler since Halo 3, no fuel rod gun, barely any mounted chain guns/plasma cannons, nothing, instead we got a bunch of guns that mean nothing to us.

EXTRAS: Firefight, Forge, Assassinations.
Firefight is nonexistent and I don't believe it has been talked about yet. Forge isn't coming till mid Season 2, which is really too long for a lot of people, and it's probably going to be terrible. Assassinations, I don't think are going to be in the game, they added a level of personality to the game, but with them gone it just seems to add to the competitiveness of a quick kill, they were rewarding and satisfying to get, I would go into matches on Reach looking for them, not caring about anything else, with them gone, it feels so sad to get back hits.

Somehow Fromsoft has done it again, they've created a great game with in depth lore and pretty decent mechanics, some of which annoying, but that's not what i'm here to tell you about.

The bugs in this game are too unbearable to play in its current state, enemies don't render in for no apparent reason, massive frame lag from loading an area in or something, half the time its just from existing, and this ones a new one... save data not being found. I wanted to log on today to try and fix that whole enemies not rendering in thing, its caused a couple of bosses to be more trouble than they're worth. But, when I started the game, it asked for me to use the cloud data because it couldn't find my save data, so i figured it would be ok as normally this is never an issue. It was a major issue, I had just fought and killed one of the hardest bosses I had ever faced in a souls game, Starscourge Radahn, took me about an hour of attempts and all of the summon uses I had, but I finally did it on the last attempt I was going to do that night, last night. I had gotten all the things to fight him last night too, I had cleared an area to upgrade my weapons, i had spent 10 minutes killing a large dragon that didn't move or fight back just to level up, i had to talk to multiple NPCs to get where I was, for nothing. And I have to do it all again, now this may be a fault of Steam's Cloud saves system, but I've never had this problem until now and I'm furious.

Bottom line: Don't get this game until more patches(pun not intended) come out, and the game is mostly bug free, because I doubt my problems will be gone any time soon.

EDIT: I have recovered from my terrible loss, and enjoyed fighting Radahn again. I took a bit of a break after feeling stuck and under leveled despite the fact that i was at about the right point for a boss i was fighting. I then came back and finished the game and i can say without a doubt that it is... still not worth $60, there are 6 endings and 2 of them are unique, the other 4 are the exact same except different colors and one like of dialogue of difference. Not worth playing through again for me, especially since only after the final boss did I feel like my build was complete. to spend ~80 hours to finish the game on a first playthrough seems unreasonable, yes there may be a lot of content, but how much of that is worth my time?

Bugs and massive stutters still exist and through all the patches I've seen since i started my break, none of them have fixed my previous problems, also it was steams fault for the cloud error, ♥♥♥♥ you steam. I still don't recommend this game unless you are the kind of person to never play another game again and you have nothing better to do, unfortunately, I do.

EDIT 2: So I've returned to my old save file after an uninstall and it reset back to just after renala, ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥

If you're anything like me, you know that a zombie game has to be satisfying, especially when killing the one thing in the game. The gun play is great, but not a reason to stay, the reloads are lack luster and you lose a sense of control when everything is kind of done for you, ex. you push a button and the magazine comes out on its own, (this goes for every gun, including ones, such as the AK-47 which requires two hands to take out the magazine) you get another one, put it near the slot, and too smooth of an animation plays of it sliding it. There's no urgency in the movements you make. None of the guns really felt impact full, you know that feeling of a 50. BMG and you know that ♥♥♥♥ is powerful just from the recoil, the guns in this have recoil, but not enough and the sound design for some of these weapons could use some work.

As for attachments, you are required to grab books to be able to learn how to attach, well, attachments. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense because you have all the attachments you could need in the armory you start in, just give the player to be able to attach what they want, but don't give them them right from the start. I didn't try the first mission, so if you pick up a book and in the next mission you keep the ability to attach it then disregard what i just said. If you don't keep the ability, don't disregard what I said.

The backpack is a funky one, but not the worst I've seen in a VR game, that belongs to H3VR. Nothing much to say about it other than, there is a bow in the game, and you have a "quiver" but you need to pull up the backpack to grab every individual arrow. It said there was a way to avoid this I think, but I couldn't figure it out after about 7 minutes of trying they way they said to do it. Also disappointed with the amount of ammo you can carry, not saying 3 mags for each primary and secondary is bad or anything, but I'd prefer if I could choose to have more secondary or more primary, like 6 slots for either or, I'd like to choose to be able to have my pistol be the main weapon I use because I have more ammo for it.

Last but not least, the melee weapons. I've only interacted with the fire ax and the machete because that's really all that's in the tutorial, and yes it did take me 43 minutes to beat the tutorial, it felt shorter than that. The fire ax is a decent size, but its not satisfying to use, if you know how it feels to chop wood and how great it is, you're gonna hate how this feels, I two-hand the weapon and want to see it get stuck into zombie skull and brain matter, but the head just explodes as if I put an air bomb it its mouth and it just went off. What I wanted to happen DID happen when I one-handed it, but its not very fun to one-hand a larger weapon, it feels wrong. The machete is a bit on the smaller side, but I got a general gist of it pretty quick, its almost worthless, I couldn't stab, slice or chop very well at all, the stabs didn't penetrate and the chops/slices did little to no damage at all, I attacked one zombie with it and gave up because nothing would work, no matter how many shots to the head it took.

Good Points for the game:
Lockpicking is fast and fun, not complicated or anything
Zombie Stew is cool(Zombie Camo)
Attachments in games are always nice, as well as a wide roster of weapons
Holstering is easy and quick
YOU CAN PUMP A SHOTGUN WITH ONE HAND(the most badass thing in any game)
Minimap system is fantastic, you can see it with detail and navigate it pretty easy

The game play is phenomenal, the graphics are fantastic, the leveling system and upgrade system are the same but still great, the bosses, all interesting, different and hard, no really boring boss or annoying one. Overall, pretty great, except for when you get to the PvP meta. Jesus Christ I can't walk 2 feet without getting invaded in Irithyll, and when I do, the weapons consist of straight swords and others that have similar movesets, sometimes I'll have a greatsword or something interesting, but most of the time, it is nothing but spam. Besides that, this game is fantastic, if you want to play this game without any help and don't want to get invaded, don't play online, trust me, its worth it.
