Wilds has nailed the power fantasy of every weapon. Old vets may grumble about the skill slot split, the amount of tools at your disposal to make monsters your chew toys, the decoration skill RNG drop from World, but Wilds has unquestionably made the hunting experience more exhilarating than ever.

The biggest problem is figuring out the best way the play with your friends. It's harder to figure out how to play with your friends that it is to play Charge Blade. You can make a Squad, join its Squad lobby (kind of a reserved lobby), host a Private lobby (invite code only), or create a Link Party (cross-lobby party) so that you can Environment Link (hunt in the same instance freely) but that disables quest creation and progression. While this amount of options allows you to play with two friend groups simultaneously (if you have that many), it is a learning curve to get used to.

I cannot wait for G-Rank/Master rank expansion where we can really put our new weapon moves to the test, promising to give the most thrilling hunts yet. (Also, more important lore!)

Just a great emotional ride as the characters develop. Very lackluster in the "choice" department but it was the story I came for and boy did it deliver.

But gawd the wordplay!!! (AI: love, artificial intelligence, and, of course, the cover cArpe dIem)
