More milsim-y than COD/BF, less milsim-y than ARMA or Squad. Strikes a balance between hardcore fps and enjoyable gameplay.

Game has good bones, but launch state is not great for me.

Co-op is broken. Me and a buddy get stuck at the "connecting to server" screen. We tried various combinations of router settings as well as joining in-game vs battle barge, etc. No dice.

Also, ultrawide support (as stated) is bad. They seem to render the full screen, but black bar 1/3 at 5120x1440. The weird thing is, they still render select UI and screen space elements, which suggests a last-minute restriction.

My opinion, let them cook. Wait a few weeks for the inevitable QRF patch set. There's a good game in here somewhere.

This game is a gem. If you're the type who wants to enjoy immersion and narrative, DO NOT PLAY BEFORE BEATING TALOS PRINCIPLE 1

Without spoiling too much, this game is a monumental improvement over the first in every way. If you enjoyed TTP1, this game must be on your short list.

10/10 adventure. Come for the rats, stay for the narrative.

A great game. I was especially taken by how crisp and natural the dialogue cutscenes were. No weird hitches or pauses why the next line loaded, it was so fluid. The hordes are a blast as well. Overall I found myself drawn into the game world. Make sure to stay past the end credits and do the epilogue missions!
