Dying Light is a zombie game of immersion, freedom, replayability, and unending heaps of fun. As I round the corner of 300 hours in, I still feel the thrill of discovery and freedom in Harran. Dead Island, Techland's previous game, was able to provide a small spark of the joy and charm of what would eventually become Dying Light. Techland seriously put their love into this game and it shows - updates years after release, new DLCs, fun events, new weapons/skins/dockets, frequent communique with players, etc.

Pros:
- Actually fun weapons
- Satisfying slo-mo
- Kyle Crane's drop kicks
- Ease and freedom of movement
- Genuinely terrifying nighttime
- Stellar voice acting
- Tense and frequent encounters with special infected
- New Game+
- 4 player Co-op from ALL OVER THE MAP
- Breathtaking graphics. Some serious Screenshot Simulator going on over here.
- Ease of hopping in and out of games of other people
- Hauntingly melancholy music
- Fun and useful Easter Eggs
- Fun and challenging minor DLC
- Large DLC story mode with actual development and new mechanics

Cons:
- Getting wombo-combo'd by infected often (protagonist unable to raise a weapon with all the slaps)
- Night Invasions/Be The Zombie can have some glaring balance issues
- Cartoonishly evil villain
- Stuttering/weird load-in times at startup (may just be me)
- Online games getting dropped frequently (again, may just be me)

Any other cons I could have encountered early on into the 300 hours have been fixed by Techland since release.

Absolutely recommend - I hope to play this for many, many years to come.

Thank you Techland for this masterpiece.
